2023 NFL Season | 104th season of the National Football League
Regular Season: September 7th – Sunday, January 7th, 2024

AFC East | Division Contenders

Miami Dolphins -340
Buffalo Bills +370

After a Monday night fiasco where the Bills lost to the Denver Broncos, Buffalo parted ways with offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. That is a bad sign.

Miami has no such issues. Although the odds aren’t great, Miami is almost as close of a lock to win the AFC East as the -1200 Chiefs are to win the AFC West.

AFC East Pick: Miami Dolphins | AFC East Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the divisional champions

AFC North | Division Contenders

Baltimore Ravens +140
Cleveland Browns +200
Cincinnati Bengals +430
Pittsburgh Steelers +550

The AFC North is up for grabs. Baltimore can get it done. So can Cleveland. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are the longshots in the North.

Since the AFC North is wide open, it makes sense to roll the dice on either the Bengals or the Steelers. Of the two squads, one stands out and it’s not the club that Joe Burrow calls home.

Pittsburgh has one of the best defenses in the NFL. The defense has played so well this season that Pittsburgh is not only 6-3 but it’s allowed the offense to catch up. The surprising Steelers win the division.

AFC North Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers | AFC North Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the divisional champions

AFC South | Division Contenders

Jacksonville Jaguars -220
Houston Texans +270

Houston can beat the Jaguars. But in the first head-to-head, Jacksonville showed they’re the overall better team.

Also, the Jaguars got their what we’re we doing game out of the way in NFL Week 10 in the horrific loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Trevor Lawrence and his mates start rolling through opponents against starting this Sunday at home against the Titans.

AFC South Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars | AFC South Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the divisional champions

AFC West | Division Contenders

Kansas City Chiefs -1200

If the Chiefs implode, the Raiders or the Broncos could overtake the Chiefs and win the division. That’s a huge if because the defending champs are the most mentally tough American football team on the planet.

But if you want to take shot, go for it with the Raiders or Broncos. The Chargers don’t offer decent enough odds to beat KC and win the AFC West.

AFC West Pick: Kansas City Chiefs | AFC West Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the divisional champions

NFC East | Division Contenders

Philadelphia Eagles -550
Dallas Cowboys +410

The Eagles will be difficult to overcome. This is especially true because Dallas lost linebacker Leighton Vander Esch for the season.

However, Philly offers odds that make them underlay. In plenty of games this season, including the first matchup against the Cowboys, the Eagles could have lost. The odds push us towards backing the Boys.

AFC North Pick: Dallas Cowboys +410 | AFC North Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the divisional champions

NFC North | Division Contenders

Detroit Lions -700
Minnesota Vikings +600

Minnesota is a different team with Joshua Dobbs under center. Dobbs can do more with his legs than Kirk Cousins. So if Cousins returns, we should expect the Vikings to play Dobbs in some situations.

With that being written, Detroit is one of the more solid teams in the NFL. The defense is much improve and the offense is close to the Miami Dolphins’ level. Lions win the NFC North.

NFC North Pick: Detroit Lions | NFC North Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the divisional champions

NFC South | Division Contenders

New Orleans Saints -110
Atlanta Falcons +230
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +290

The Saints got close to beating the Vikings on the road in their last. The reason that’s important to realize is because New Orleans played much of the game without Derek Carr.

For sure, losing Michael Thomas for the season is a tough thing to overcome. However, the Saints are deeper than many believe and the defense is terrific. Saints get the division crown.

NFC South Pick: New Orleans Saints | NFC South Odds
MyBookie Betting Lines for the divisional champions

NFC West | Division Contenders

San Francisco 49ers -600
Seattle Seahawks +500

After trouncing the Jaguars on the road in NFL Week 10, it’s obvious that the San Francisco 49ers are back on track. So if SF doesn’t suffer any significant injuries down the stretch, SF wins the West.

NFC West Pick: San Francisco 49ers | NFC West Odds

2022 Way Too Early 2023 NFL Predictions for Every Team

The NFL Draft is in two weeks, and the 2023 landscape may look quite different after all 259 picks are made. But as we sit here today, this is what is going to happen next season in the NFL, to consider in your NFL betting for the next season.

AFC West

The defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs will sign DeAndre Hopkins after he is released by the Cardinals, and they will win their eighth consecutive division title and host their sixth straight AFC Championship Game.

The Chargers will fall just short of making the playoffs. The Broncos will fail to reach .500, and Sean Payton dumps Russell Wilson. Josh McDaniels fails to make it through another year in Las Vegas.

AFC North

Joe Burrow has a great year and wins the MVP award, but the free-agent losses on defense are too much for Cincinnati to overcome. Lamar Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr. lead the Ravens to the division title.

Kenny Pickett hits his ceiling in Pittsburgh, and they miss the playoffs. The Deshaun Watson contract anchors the Browns to last place.

AFC South

Trevor Lawrence takes another step forward, and the Jags are back in the playoffs. Houston finds its quarterback in the draft, and DeMeco Ryans proves to be an excellent head coach. The Texans, however, fall just short of the playoffs.

The Colts and Titans are total disasters and battle the first overall pick.

AFC East

The most competitive division in football will see the Dolphins come out on top, ending the Bills domination in the East. Buffalo still makes the playoffs, and Aaron Rodgers does make the difference in New York, and the Jets are also a playoff team. The Patriots are in last place.

AFC Playoff Seeds

  1. Kansas City Chiefs
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars
  3. Baltimore Ravens
  4. Miami Dolphins
  5. Cincinnati Bengals
  6. Buffalo Bills
  7. New York Jets

NFC West

The 49ers win the division, and Trey Lance emerges as the winner in the quarterback battle. He gets an extension for the future, and Brock Purdy heads to the trade block.

Geno Smith comes back to earth and the Seahawks struggle to make the playoffs. The Rams lose 10 games and they lose Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald to retirement. No one is sure what the Cardinals are doing at any point during the season.

NFC North

For the first time in 30 years the Detroit Lions are division champions. Jordan Love leads the Packers to the playoffs. The Vikings take a huge step back, and the Bears continue to bring up the rear in the division.

NFC South

The Panthers land their quarterback in the draft, and he leads them past the Saints to win the division. Desmond Ridder is not the answer in Atlanta, but they do finish in third ahead of the Bucs.

NFC East

Break out the Dallas Cowboys. They win the division in the final week and knock the Eagles back to second place. The Giants won eight games by a single score last year, and that is the recipe for regression. They do not return to the playoffs. Trapped in Dan Snyder-sale purgatory, Washington remains in last place.

NFC Playoff Seeds

  1. San Francisco 49ers
  2. Dallas Cowboys
  3. Detroit Lions
  4. Carolina Panthers
  5. Philadelphia Eagles
  6. Green Bay Packers
  7. Seattle Seahawks
