Updated 2023 NFL Playoff Picture: Who’s In; Who’s Out starting Week 18 action | MyBookie Playoff Betting Preview

2023 NFL Season | 104th season of the National Football League
Week 18: Thursday, January 6th – Sunday, January 7th, 2024

AFC: Who’s In

1. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are the top seed in the AFC. Regardless of how they do in Week 18, they will sit out the first week of the postseason, and have a chance to host two postseason games before the Super Bowl.

2. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are in regardless. The difference comes in with their Week 18 affair at home against Buffalo. A loss and the Dolphins would fall to the 6 seed, which would likely be a trip to Kansas City. A win, and they are the 2 seed, and host next week.

3. Kansas City Chiefs

The defending AFC Champions are in. Kansas City, cannot move in their postseason spot. They are going to be the 3rd seed, and host whoever climbs in at 6.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have to win to get in. Jacksonville needs a Week 18 win over the Titans, and they would win the AFC South, and host the Browns in the postseason.

5. Cleveland Browns

The Browns are locked into the fifth seed regardless of their game against Cincinnati this week. Cleveland will head to either Jacksonville, Houston or even Indianapolis.

6. Buffalo Bills

The Bills are not quite in yet. A win over the Dolphins, and the Bills are not only in, but AFC East Champions, and the 2nd seed in the postseason. A loss, and they could potentially fall out. If Pittsburgh and Jacksonville wins and Buffalo loses, they would be out.

7. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts need a win over Houston to seal their spot in the postseason. A win and a Jaguars loss would push them to the 4th seed. A win and a Jaguars win, and the Colts remain at 7.

AFC: Who is Out

8. Houston Texans

The Texans play the Colts, and let’s make it simple. The winner goes to the postseason.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh first needs to beat the Ravens in Week 18. If they do, they will still need some help.

10. Denver Broncos

11. Cincinnati Bengals

12. Las Vegas Raiders

13. New York Jets

14. Tennessee Titans

15. Los Angeles Chargers

16. New England Patriots

NFC: Who’s In

1. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have the top seed in the NFC. Regardless of how they do in their game against the Rams. San Francisco will take the weekend off, and then host potentially two home games before the Super Bowl.

2. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys will need to beat the Commanders to wrap up the NFC East, and keep the 2nd seed. A loss would drop them to five and a road game in the first round of the postseason.

3. Detroit Lions

The Lions appear to be locked into the third seed. There is a chance they could move to 2, but they look like they will be 3. Detroit has Minnesota in Week 18 with a chance to finish the regular season with 12 wins.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

At 8-8, the Buccaneers need a win over the worst team in the National Football League to get into the postseason. Tampa Bay can win the NFC South with their 9th win. A loss, and they will miss the postseason.

5. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles will need a win over the Giants, and Cowboys loss to move up. A loss does nothing to their postseason picture. A trip to the NFC South winner looks to be in their future.

6. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are going to the postseason. Los Angeles will be either the 6 seed or 7 seed. They will take on either the Cowboys, Eagles or Lions. A win over San Francisco locks them into 6. A loss could drop them to 7th, but not sure Sean McVay has a preference one way or the other.

7. Green Bay Packers

At 8-8, they are one of four teams with that record. With Tampa Bay getting the NFC South, the Packers are ahead of the Seahawks and Saints via tiebreaker. Sure, a win and they get in. They will have to beat the pesky Bears at home.

NFC: Who is Out

8. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks, after losing to Pittsburgh, now need help. Seattle must win over Arizona and ask for a Bears win over the Packers.

9. New Orleans Saints

New Orleans is going to have to beat Atlanta, and hope for a Carolina win over Tampa Bay to get in. A third option would be a win, and a Packers and Seahawks loss. The Saints are in trouble.

10. Minnesota Vikings

11. Chicago Bears

12. Atlanta Falcons

13. New York Giants

14. Washington Commanders

15. Arizona Cardinals

16. Carolina Panthers

The Ravens picked up a big win on Sunday Night to keep the top spot in the AFC. Baltimore would host all games they played in the postseason.

The Dolphins bounced back with a big win over the Jets. Miami is 10-4, but have a tough final three games of the season.

Kansas City Chiefs 9-5 | AFC: Who’s In

The Chiefs started slow, but came away with the win in New England. The Chiefs with nine wins would love to move up another slot, even to host an additional postseason game.

Jacksonville Jaguars 8-6 | AFC: Who’s In

Jacksonville has lost three in a row, but currently hold the tiebreaker for the AFC South over the Colts and Texans. Jacksonville has Tampa Bay, Carolina and Tennessee left on their schedule.

Cleveland Browns 9-5 | AFC: Who’s In

The Browns picked up a miracle win at home to keep their top wildcard spot. The Browns have the Texans, Jets and Bengals remaining during the regular season.

Cincinnati Bengals 8-6 | AFC: Who’s In

NFC: Who’s In

San Francisco 49ers 11-3

The 49ers are on cruise control right now. Six straight wins, and making things look easy. Brock Purdy for MVP is heating up.

Dallas Cowboys 10-4

With the loss on Sunday, they thought they may be a game back, but Seattle took care of the Eagles late, and now the Cowboys still keep the 2nd seed in the NFC.

Detroit Lions 10-4

The Lions need just one more win to seal their NFC North title. Detroit would also love to keep the pressure on the 49ers and Eagles for seeding in the NFC.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-7

Heading into Week 16, Tampa Bay owned the tiebreaker in the NFC South. A ton of football to be played, but the Buccaneers are playing strong football.

Philadelphia Eagles 10-4

It was the third straight loss for the Eagles after they blew a late lead on Monday Night to Seattle. Philadelphia has the Giants twice and the Cardinals remaining.

Minnesota Vikings 7-7

The Vikings at 7-7  hold the tiebreaker over the Rams and Saints. Minnesota though is starting their first of two in a three week span against the Detroit Lions.

Los Angeles Rams 7-7

Sean McVay has his team playing their best football late in the season.

Updated 2023 NFL Playoff Picture: Who’s In; Who’s Out starting Week 15 action | MyBookie Playoff Betting Preview

2023 NFL Season | 104th season of the National Football League
Week 15: Thursday, December 14th – Monday, December 18th, 2024

It was a wild weekend in the National Football League. Some great games, some wild results, and now some change in the playoff picture. Here is the updated NFL Playoff Picture, who is in, who is out starting Week 16 action on Thursday.

First, in the AFC

1. Baltimore Ravens

With the Dolphins Monday Night Football loss, the Ravens get the top seed in the AFC. Baltimore is the only 10 win AFC team heading into Week 15.

2. Miami Dolphins vs. 7. Indianapolis Colts

Not only did the Dolphins lose the game, lose their top receivers, and lose the top seed in the AFC, they also lost a chance to keep the Buffalo Bills at bay for the AFC East. Now, just two games up with four to go, the Dolphins are sweating a bit. Indianapolis is the second tiebreaker in the six team pile up in the AFC. Indianapolis would love to get Jonathan Taylor back as Zach Moss has been a little ineffective the last two weeks.

3. Kansas City Chiefs vs. 6. Pittsburgh Steelers

The defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs have lost back to back games. The Chiefs do not look like they are going to play all postseason games at home, but they will look to finish strong and see. Pittsburgh is the top 7-6 team right now, which gives them the 6 seed. Back to back losses to the Cardinals and Patriots have many in Pittsburgh questioning their direction as the season winds down.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. 5. Cleveland Browns

Another team with back to back losses is the Jacksonville Jaguars. At 8-5, the Jaguars still lead the AFC South, but by just a single game over the Colts and Texans. Cleveland has found ways to win games. They are also 8-5 on the season, and lead the pack of wildcard chasers by a game. Cleveland has a tough game against the spoiler in the league Chicago on Sunday.

Out of the playoff picture

8. Houston Texans
9. Denver Broncos
10. Cincinnati Bengals
11. Buffalo Bills
12. Los Angeles Chargers
13. Las Vegas Raiders
14. New York Jets
15. Tennessee Titans
16. New England Patriots

Now, we move to the NFC

San Francisco 49ers

Winners of five straight games, no one looks better than the San Francisco 49ers right now. If the 49ers win their final four, teams will have to come to the bay area to get to the Super Bowl 58. Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy, along with their cast of offensive teammates are on a major roll right now.

Dallas Cowboys vs. 7. Green Bay Packers

Another red hot football team is the Dallas Cowboys. After smacking the Eagles Sunday Night, the Cowboys are leading the NFC East. Dallas will have a tough final four games, so we will see if they can hang on. Speaking of hanging on, the Green Bay Packers to the 7 seed after their loss at New York. The Packers are 6-7 on the season, but hold tiebreaker over the Rams, Seahawks, Saints and Falcons.

Detroit Lions vs. 6. Minnesota Vikings

This would be a NFC North battle, as the Detroit Lions take on the Minnesota Vikings. These two teams would be plenty familiar with each other, as they also play twice in the final four weeks of the season. The Lions are coming off a tough loss to the Bears. Minnesota is coming off that shutout win over the Raiders.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5. Philadelphia Eagles

Currently, Tampa Bay is holding the tiebreaker for the NFC South over the Falcons and Saints. There is a ton of football to be played. Can Baker Mayfield continue his hot play and get the Buccaneers back to the postseason? The Eagles dropped to the 5 seed following their road loss at the Giants. Philadelphia’s schedule softens up a little, as they hope to regain that top spot.

Out of the playoff picture

8. Los Angeles Rams
9. Seattle Seahawks
10. Atlanta Falcons
11. New Orleans Saints
12. New York Giants
13. Chicago Bears
14. Washington Commanders
15. Arizona Cardinals
16. Carolina Panthers

As we head into the Week 14 action, here is the most up to date odds for the NFL playoff picture:

Updated 2023 NFL Playoff Picture: Who’s In; Who’s Out starting Week 14 | MyBookie Playoff Betting Preview

2023 NFL Season | 104th season of the National Football League
Week 14: Thursday, December 7th – Monday, December 11th, 2024

AFC | Who’s In:

Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins right now hold the tiebreaker over Baltimore with their 9-3 record. The Dolphins have a tough road ahead to finish the season, so they’ll have to continue playing solid football.

Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are the 2nd seed, at 9-3. Baltimore holds a two game lead over the AFC North opponents; Cleveland and Cincinnati. The Ravens with the help of Lamar Jackson have been one of the toughest teams to defend in the league.

Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs, despite their Sunday Night Football loss are third in the AFC. The Chiefs still hold a pretty solid lead in the AFC West. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are defending Super Bowl Champions, but as of now will have to win a couple road games.

Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars lost the game, and their quarterback in the Monday Night Football game. Now, Jacksonville has to sit uncomfortably with a back up in place, and only a single game lead in the divisional standings.

Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers, despite their struggles, right now, they are the 5 seed in the AFC. Another team with a backup quarterback, as Kenny Pickett went down with an ankle injury in Week 13.

Cleveland Browns
Yet another backup quarterback. The Browns are on their fourth string. Cleveland is 7-5, along with three other teams. They have a huge game against Jacksonville in Week 14.

Indianapolis Colts
The Colts, the final team to get in, as of now. They are ahead of the Texans due to head to head win percentage.

AFC | Who’s Out:

Houston Texans 7-6

Denver Broncos 6-6

Cincinnati Bengals 6-6

Buffalo Bills 6-6

Los Angeles Chargers 5-7

Las Vegas Raiders 5-7

New York Jets 4-8

Tennessee Titans 4-8

New England Patriots 2-10

NFC | Who’s In:

Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are the top seed in all of the NFL with their 10-2 record. The Eagles have a big one against the Cowboys that they will need to win to hold onto the top spot.

San Francisco 49ers
The win over Philadelphia was huge to move to just a game back in the NFC from Philadelphia. The 49ers are hoping for a Cowboys win this weekend, to possibly move them back to the top.

Detroit Lions
The Lions are leading the NFC North by three games. They should win the division, now they are just hoping for a chance to play a couple games at home.

Atlanta Falcons
At .500, the Falcons are the leaders of the NFC South.

Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are 9-3. With a win over Philadelphia on Sunday Night Football, they would move into a tie for first in the divisional race. Dallas is 7-1 in NFC games this season.

Minnesota Vikings
Currently 6-6, but have dropped back to back games. The Vikings and Packers will battle it out for second place in the division, and a wildcard spot.

Green Bay Packers
three straight wins has Green Bay on the cusp of reaching the postseason. The Packers have the tiebreaker over the Rams and Seahawks, all at 6-6.

NFC | Who’s Out:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-7

New Orleans Saints 5-7

New York Giants 4-8

Chicago Bears 4-8

Washington Commanders 4-9

Arizona Cardinals 3-10

Carolina Panthers 1-11

Updated 2023 NFL Playoff Picture: Who’s In; Who’s Out starting Week 13 | MyBookie Playoff Betting Preview

We are getting ready for the final full month of the season in the National Football League. The playoff picture is wild, and will change week after week.

As we head into the Week 13 action, here is the most up to date odds for the NFL playoff picture:

2023 NFL Season | 104th season of the National Football League
Week 13: Thursday, November 30th – Monday, December 4th, 2024

Let’s start with the AFC:

Baltimore Ravens 9-3

The Ravens are in a spot to get the first round bye. For now. Baltimore is 9-3 on the season, but will face the tough AFC North a few more times. The Ravens would love that AFC title game to be at their home field as opposed to at Arrowhead.

Kansas City Chiefs 8-3 vs. 7. Indianapolis Colts 6-5

The 2nd seeded Kansas City Chiefs are perceived as struggling this season. The Super Bowl Champions are two games ahead in the AFC West. They would start the postseason against the wildcard 7. Right now, the Colts own the tiebreaker over the Texans and Broncos. A ton of football to be played, but the Colts making the playoffs would be quite the story.

Jacksonville Jaguars 8-3 vs. 6. Cleveland Browns 7-4

Trevor Lawrence and his Jaguars went two games up with a monster win over the Texans last week. The Jaguars still have a shot at the top seed, with just their three losses on the season. If they were to take on Cleveland in the first round, it would be a bit scary with their ability to play defense. The Browns are beat up, but doing their best to hang on/

Miami Dolphins 8-3 vs. 5. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-4

Tua and his Miami Dolphins are 8-3, but do not own the tiebreakers, so for them to grab a better seed, they better keep winning. Just like Jacksonville though, they have a chance to move all the way up to 1 in the final weeks. The 5th seed would be Pittsburgh. The Steelers are finding ways despite poor offensive play.

In Contention:

Houston Texans 6-5 – the loss last week to Jacksonville not only sent them two games back of the Jaguars, but not on the outside looking in for a postseason spot. The Texans will have a chance against Indianapolis head to head.

Denver Broncos 6-5 – Winners of five straight games. This makes the game against Houston in Week 13 a massive one. The winner will be in a good spot, while the lower is going to need some help in the final few weeks.

Buffalo Bills 6-6 – Sure, they have played a tough schedule, but have had plenty of opportunities. Buffalo falling out of the AFC East race too with their .500 record now as well.

Now, we move to the NFC:

Philadelphia Eagles 10-1

The Eagles have played an incredible schedule as of late, and still sit with just one loss. Philadelphia would love to be hosting the NFC title game in late January. The defending NFC Champions seem to be clicking well right now.

San Francisco 49ers 8-3 vs. 7. Minnesota Vikings 6-6

The 49ers seem to be back on track after a trio of losses. For Minnesota, they lost Monday to the Bears to move to .500. After the bye, the Vikings hope to have more firepower, as Justin Jefferson is expected to return to help the offense.

Detroit Lions 8-3 vs. 6. Seattle Seahawks 6-5

The Lions still hold a comfortable lead in the NFC North, but their Thanksgiving loss did not favor their confidence. The Lions and Vikings still have two games head to head against each other, which will make a difference in the playoff picture. Seattle has dropped two straight and are in danger of slipping their playoff spot away if they don’t turn things around.

Atlanta Falcons 5-6 vs. 5. Dallas Cowboys 8-3

Right now, the Falcons own the tiebreaker over New Orleans with the Week 12 win. Dallas will be a very dangerous 5th seed. No one will want to see this team coming to their stadium in the postseason.

Green Bay Packers 5-6 – A huge win on Thanksgiving over the Lions has them right in the picture.

Los Angeles Rams 5-6 – back to back wins, and Coach McVay and his Rams are right in the thick of things.

New Orleans Saints 5-6 – The Saints are tied with Atlanta for the NFC South, but the Week 12 loss has them on the outside looking in.
