2022 NBA Divisional Championship Odds Analysis and Betting Picks

Although in the grand scheme winning your division doesn’t mean much for the NBA Playoffs, it does mean bragging rights. With a month left to go, some teams, like the Miami Heat, are locks to win their division. A couple of squads, Milwaukee and Chicago, are in a dog fight. Check out current NBA Divisional Championship odds on teams that still have a shot to win their NBA Division as well as picks.

NBA Divisions – Odds to Win

2021 – 2022 NBA Regular Season

  • When: Oct. 19, 2021 – Apr. 10, 2022

NBA Pacific

The Suns would have to implode to lose the Pacific. Golden State entered the season a short-priced favorite to win the NBA title.

The Warriors offered lower odds than the Suns. What’s really surprising is how badly the Los Angeles Lakers have played this entire season. There’s around a month left and the Lakers aren’t close to securing a playoff spot.

Division Pick: Phoenix Suns

NBA Northwest

As long as Nikola Jokic plays for Denver, the Nuggets have an outside shot of taking the Northwest title. Jokic is playing lights out.

But Utah is playing like one of the best teams in the NBA. The Jazz have gone 7-3 SU as of March 10. Still, there’s a month for the Jazz to implode and for the Nuggets to rise. So at the odds, Denver, who is just 2 games behind Utah heading into March 11, is worth a look.

Division Pick: Utah Jazz

NBA Southwest

At 44-23 before their March 11 game versus the Cavaliers, the Heat have a 12 games lead over the Charlotte Hornets. Miami would have to absolutely implode while the Hornets would have to win.

A 12-game turnaround in a month versus one of the most consistently good teams in the Association is more than a longshot. It’s as close to an impossibility as you’re going to find.

Division Pick: Miami Heat

NBA Southwest

The Grizzlies have the second best record in the league. As of March 10, it’s 5 ½ games better than the Mavericks.

Does that make Ja Morant and his mates a lock to win the Southwest? Looks like it. But heading into March 11, Memphis has gone 6-4 heading into March 10 while the Mavericks have gone 7-3. Backing Luka Doncic and his mates to make up 6 games in the last month makes sense.

Division Pick: Dallas Mavericks

NBA Central

The Bulls are behind the Bucks by a game and a half. The Cavaliers are behind by just 3 games. On paper, Milwaukee should continue to play well.

The odds, though, make the Bucks an underlay. Chicago has no answer for the Bucks. The Cavaliers have no answer for the Bulls but have beaten the Bucks this season.

The Cavs do send the best team in the NBA to the court in points allowed. Cleveland allows less points than any team in the league. There’s a chance the Cavaliers win the Central. So even though the Bucks should win the division, Cleveland is worth backing because they have a better chance to win than the odds indicate.

Division Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers
