All the opening game in Round 1 of the NBA playoffs are now in the books, with the pressure squarely on the shoulders of all the teams who took a loss in those games. We will start out this week with 3 games each night, proving once again that the playoffs move quickly and that there is no time to dwell on a loss or get too up after a win. Fortunes can change quickly, and momentum can shift in a 7-game series, so look for each of the Game 2 outings to potentially be game changers. We have some SU parlay picks sorted out for the next few days, but for the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on some point total plays for Monday and Tuesday so you can wager against the NBA Playoffs Odds.

NBA O/U Picks – Monday
We get Monday night started with Game 2 between the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers, with the home team holding a 1-0 series lead after a blowout win in the opener. That result is somewhat important in making our O/U pick for Game 2, as we see a bit of a trend here with the Raptors. They have seen the OVER hit in each of their last 4 games following a loss by 10 points or more. As for the 76ers, they are on a run of 5 straight games with the OVER, so let’s go OVER 215 ½ in this one.
The Utah Jazz took advantage of the Mavericks without Luka Doncic in Game 1 and will be looking to take a stranglehold on the series with another win in Dallas on Monday night. Doncic is expected to be out again, which could have an impact on the point total. That aside, the Jazz have seen the UNDER hit in 10 of their last 11 games as a road favorite, as well as 11 of their last 13 overall away from home. The UNDER has hit in 4 of the last 5 playoff games that Dallas started as an underdog, so it might we worth going UNDER 206 in this game.
We close out Monday night with the Denver Nuggets looking to avoid dropping into an 0-2 hole versus the Golden State Warriors. The one thing that these two teams have in common is that they both trend towards the OVER at this stage of the postseason. The Nuggets are 6-1 O/U in their last 7 Round 1 games, while the Warriors are 5-1 O/U in the last 6. Let’s take the OVER 222.
NBA O/U Picks – Tuesday
The Atlanta Hawks came into their series with the Miami Heat as a big underdog, and nothing has changed in that regard after losing Game 1. There is a good trend to be seen in those odds, with the Hawks seeing each of their last 9 games as an underdog go UNDER the point total. It’s a similar story for the Heat, with 5 of their last 6 as a playoff favorite also going UNDER. Let’s go UNDER 217 ½.
The Memphis Grizzlies came into the playoffs on a great run of form and look like a team ready to go on a deep run in the postseason, but they need to rebound after a big loss. The Timberwolves once again come into Game 2 as an underdog and have seen each of their last 4 playoff games with that label go OVER the point total. In games after giving up more than 125 points, the Grizzlies have seen 5 in a row go OVER. Let’s take the OVER 241.
The final game of Tuesday night sees the New Orleans Pelicans on the road looking to avoid an 0-2 hole versus the Phoenix Suns. Game 1 was not the blowout that a lot of people expected, with the Suns getting the win without exerting a ton of effort. The UNDER has hit in each of the last 4 games that the Pelicans started as an underdog, with the Suns seeing the UNDER hit in 6 straight overall. I am sticking with the UNDER in Game 2.
