Don’t miss the Daily Line NBA Today! Suns vs. Bucks Betting Prediction, Odds & Picks

Let’s break down the Suns vs. Bucks Betting Prediction! NBA fans will be denied a matchup of former league MVPs and future Hall of Famers on Tuesday night in Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo, as Durant is out injured. Thus, the Bucks are solid favorites to bet on the NBA picks.

It’s an important game for both teams in their respective conference playoff races but much more important for the hugely disappointing Suns. They were in the West’s final play-in tournament spot last week but are slumping and have fallen to 11th in the West, 1.5 games behind No. 10 Sacramento as of this writing and two back of No. 9 Dallas (both played Monday night).

Spread/Total Subject to Change: Bucks -7 (total 224)

Now that Anthony Davis is back for the Mavericks, I don’t see the Suns making it, especially with Durant’s injury, which we go into more detail on below. The oddsmakers don’t really expect Phoenix to make it, either, pricing it +500 to compete in the play-in. To make the full-field Western Conference playoffs, the Suns are +1300 with No at -5000. Phoenix hasn’t missed out since the 2019-20 campaign, well before they had Durant.

Milwaukee sits sixth in the East and could move up to as high as No. 5 sitting 1.5 games behind Detroit, but it’s unlikely the Bucks slip to seventh and are forced into the East play-in tournament as they are four games ahead of No. 7 Atlanta and 4.5 up on No. 8 Orlando. To compete in the play-in, Milwaukee is +1400.

The Suns have won 7 of the last 12 in the regular-season series vs. Milwaukee, including sweeps over the Bucks in 2018-19 and 2020-21. This concludes the 2024-25 set with Phoenix up 1-0.

No Kevin Durant For Suns

Phoenix is slumping at the worst time, as it lost a third straight game Sunday and was embarrassed at home by Houston, 148-109 – all three losses in the skid have been by at least 15 points.

Kevin Durant

To make matters worse, superstar Durant injured his ankle and will miss at least this three-game road trip, putting a potential return against Golden State on April 8 on the table. But it’s very possible Durant could miss the rest of this season and has played his last game for the Suns amid major trade rumors.

The injury happened with 6:57 left in the third quarter, when the Suns were already down by 35 points, so Durant should not have been in the game.

He drove the lane, stepped on the Rockets’ Jabari Smith Jr.’s foot, and went to the ground. Durant had to be helped off the court and did not return.

It’s officially a left ankle sprain. Durant had 11 points (5-for-11 shooting), seven rebounds and a turnover in 23 minutes.

Durant missed three games in early February and three games in early December for ankle injuries. Aside from those short stretches sidelined, Durant has played in 52 straight games. He has been terrific this season, averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 43% from 3-point range.

Other Injuries

In Beal’s absence, players such as Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale are expected to assume greater responsibilities. Beal has advanced to 5-on-5 work, but there is no clear timetable for his return, according to coach Mike Budenholzer, who coached the Bucks through 2023. ^

Bucks On 4-Game Skid

Milwaukee also is sliding at a bad time, as the Bucks dropped a fourth straight game Sunday, 145-124 at home by Atlanta – each of the past three losses has been by at least nine points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Antetokounmpo was great in the loss with 31 points, nine rebounds and five assists. He has scored at least 30 points in four straight games, and scored at least 20 in 14 of 15 March games – missing by one point in the 15th. For the month, the Greek Freak averaged 28.3 points, 11.2 boards, 6.3 assists and shot 58.4% from the floor.

Kevin Porter

Porter had his best game since landing with the Bucks in the loss, with a season-high 28 points along with four rebounds and five assists. Porter has taken on a larger role in the Bucks backcourt while Damian Lillard (calf) has been out of action, playing at least 22 minutes in four of the last five games and averaging 13.0 points, 4.8 assists, 4.0 boards in 23.2 minutes a contest. Lillard lacks a timeline for his return as he deals with a blood clot.

Kyle Kuzma

Kuzma had his best game with the Bucks since being traded from Washington, with 25 points and six rebounds. Kuzma’s 25 points were his high-water mark since he joined Milwaukee, and he has scored in double digits in eight straight games, averaging 17.0 points and 5.3 boards in that stretch.

Since starting the year 2-8, the Bucks are 38-26 since Nov. 12 and near the top of the league in that span in scoring (115.1 PPG), scoring defense (112.3 PPG), offensive rating (114.7), defensive rating (112.1) and games with at least 120 points (24). The team is shooting 38.2% from deep this season, third-highest in team history.

Suns vs. Bucks Betting Expert Prediction

This game has lost so much luster with two of Phoenix’s Big 3 out in Durant and Beal and two of Milwaukee’s three-best guys out in the injured Lillard and suspended Bobby Portis. His 25-game ban stems from a positive test of the drug tramadol, a medication used to treat severe pain. Portis will be eligible to return to action April 8 against the Timberwolves, when the Bucks have just four games remaining in the regular season.

Milwaukee aims to prevent a season sweep after falling 108-106 to Phoenix on March 24, where Devin Booker hit a decisive jumper with 1.7 seconds left. Durant led with 38 points, while Booker contributed 19. Antetokoumpo topped the Bucks with 31 points, as Lopez’s buzzer-beater attempt fell short, finishing the intense game.

This season, Giannis is on pace to average at least 30 points per game on 60% shooting, a feat done once in NBA history – by Antetokounmpo last season. He also would join Oscar Robertson (1961-62) as the only players to average 30 or more points, 12 or more rebounds and six or more assists in a single season. And Giannis looks to become the first player to average 30 or more points and 12 or more rebounds in a season since Moses Malone’s MVP campaign in 1981-82. Giannis will be the difference Tuesday. Bucks 118, Suns 110.
