And just like that, we are down to the final four in the race for the NBA Championship. You have to say that these are not the 4 teams that most people expected to be in the conference finals, and you have to wonder if there are more surprises to come before we crown a new champion. Yes, we will have a new champion crowned this season, with the Lakers taking care of the defending champion Golden State Warriors and potentially killing their dynasty in the process. The question now is about which of these 4 teams will go on and win it all. We are taking it one round at a time here, so let’s take a closer look at the NBA betting analysis for East and West Finals to see how they might play out.

Eastern Conference Final: Miami Heat Vs Boston Celtics
If the regular season series between these teams is anything to go by, then we are in for a bit of a treat. These two teams met 4 times in the regular season, with the series split right down the middle, and both teams winning at home and away. This would suggest that neither team really has too much of an edge over the other.
The Miami Heat had the benefit of playing in a rather weak Southeast Division, winning it by 3 games with a 44-38 record. The general consensus was that they would make an early exit given that they had to face the Milwaukee Bucks in Round 1, but they stunned everyone by closing out that series in 5 games. It took a little longer to handle the New York Knicks, but Miami never really looked in any danger, winning that one in 6 games.
The Boston Celtics have had to work very hard to get to this point, starting with a 6-game series win over the plucky Atlanta Hawks in Round 1. Things got tougher still in Round 2, with Boston needing all 7 games to oust the Philadelphia 76ers. Game 1 of this series is set for Wednesday night.

Western Conference Final: LA Lakers Vs Denver Nuggets
The Western Conference final has already started, with Game 1 going the way of the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night. The Nuggets had a large lead throughout, but they had to hold off a late charge from the Lakers to win 132-126.
The Lakers are without a doubt the surprise team of the playoffs, especially when you consider that they were not even guaranteed to be in the play-in tournament a couple of weeks before the end of the season. They made it through that and then stunned the Memphis Grizzlies in 6 games before delivering another upset in taking out Golden State in 7 games.
The Nuggets ended the regular season as the #1 seed in the Western Conference and got the playoffs rolling by taking out the Minnesota Timberwolves in 5 games. They had to work a little harder against the Phoenix Suns in Round 2, but they ended up getting the job done in 6 games. The Nuggets drew first blood in the Western Conference Final, but given that their regular season series was a 4-game split with the Lakers, they will be taking nothing for granted.
