The NBA is back, and while it’s only for preseason, there are still multiple opportunities to get some wagers on and make some money. Like every sport in preseason, things are a little tougher to predict, but we are going to try our utmost to pick some winners that will help give your bankroll a boost. We are turning our attention to Friday night, where we have 7 games to choose from on the schedule. Let’s see if we can pick out the best NBA Preseason Betting options from that bunch.
Preseason Games Rundown On October 7th | NBA Betting Picks
Boston Celtics at Charlotte Hornets
The Celtics come into this one as a 9-point favorite and look like a very solid SU pick given that they have won 9 of their last 10 games as a favorite. Not a great ton of value to be found with the SU pick, though, so since they have covered 4 of the last 5 against the Hornets, you might also want to consider playing Boston ATS.
Indiana Pacers at NY Knicks
It is the Knicks who are in as a 6 ½ point favorite on home court, but I am looking at the point total in this game. The last 11 meetings between these teams have seen the UNDER hit in 8 of those outings. The Knicks have also seen their last 4 games go the same way, so let’s take the UNDER 216 ½.
Miami Heat at Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies will take to their home court as a 7-point favorite over the Heat on Friday night. There are a couple of bets to look at her, starting with the spread. The Grizzlies have covered in 4 of their last 5 versus Miami, making them a solid pick. With 7 of the last 9 meetings going OVER, I would also look at the OVER 208 ½.
Detroit Pistons at New Orleans Pelicans
Another one where the SU wager is not really worth it, with the Pelicans strongly favored by 7 ½ points on home court. That makes me want to look at the point total, where you see that the Pelicans have seen the UNDER hit in 7 of their last 10 games as a home favorite. I am playing the UNDER 217 ½.
Denver Nuggets at Chicago Bulls
This is one that the bookies see as being a good deal tighter, with the Nuggets favored by just 1 point on the road. Since the Nuggets have covered the spread in 5 of their last 7 visits to Chicago, it makes sense to take them to win and cover in this one.
Toronto Raptors at Houston Rockets
Toronto goes on the road on Friday night as a 7-point favorite, and while I certainly like them to win, it is worth noting that they are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 versus Houston. It is the OVER that looks like the bet to me here, as 5 of the last 6 games between these teams in Houston have gone that way. I am on the OVER 223 ½.
Orlando Magic at Dallas Mavericks
The final game of the evening sees the Dallas Mavericks host the Orlando Magic as an 8-point favorite. I am Dallas all the way in this one, but again, we are looking for better odds, so let’s take a look at the point total. The UNDER has hit in 7 of the last 10 at home for Dallas, so let’s play the UNDER 206 ½.
