The NBA playoffs have begun, and we have now seen every team play the opening game of the opening round. We don’t expect to see a whole lot of surprises in Round 1, but while you would think that would make putting together straight up parlays for the next few days a bit of a breeze, the fact is that you never really know when an underdog might unexpectedly sneak a win or two. Starting on Monday, we get into the second games of each series, so let’s now look ahead at the next three days to see if we can come up with some SU parlay winners so you can bet against the NBA Playoffs Odds.
Parlay Picks for the Week | NBA Playoffs Betting
NBA Parlay – 76ers, Mavericks, Warriors – Monday
When the 76ers traded to get James Harden, they did so with the belief that he would help them make a deep playoff run. They saw things get off to a great start with a 131-111 win over Toronto in Game 1, and while this one should be closer, I like Philly to win.
Despite not having Luka Doncic in the lineup for Game 1, the Mavericks kept things close in a 99-93 loss in Game 1 versus the Jazz. Doncic is likely to be unavailable again, so this is definitely a risk, but I like Dallas to win on home court.
There were some concerns about the Warriors a couple of weeks ago, but a strong finish to the season saw some faith restored among fans. The Warriors looked good in a 123-107 win in Game 1 and I like them to win at home again.
NBA Parlay – Heat, Grizzlies, Suns – Tuesday
The Atlanta Hawks did well to get through the Play-In Tournament and into the opening round, but they looked overwhelmed in a 115-91 loss to the Heat in Game 1. They will be in Miami for Game 2 and are looking at the same outcome.
The Grizzlies were one of the better teams in the second half of the season, but they have some work to do after taking a 130-117 loss to Minnesota in Game 1. I like the Grizzlies to bounce back with the win in Game 2.
The expectation was that the Phoenix Suns would have little trouble disposing of the New Orleans Pelicans in Round 1. The Suns won the opening game 110-99 without breaking too much of a sweat. Look for them to go 2-0 here.
NBA Parlay – Celtics, Raptors, Bucks – Wednesday
One of the better games in the opening round came in the series between the Celtics and the Nets, with Boston winning a 115-114 thriller. I expect another close one on Wednesday night, but I like Boston to hot the road with a 2-0 lead.
We have Philadelphia heading north of the border with a 2-0 lead after Game 2 of their series with the Toronto Raptors. I don’t necessarily think we are looking at a sweep here, though, as I think Toronto might eke out a Game 3 win.
The Bucks and the Bulls might well be the best matchup of the opening round, and it looks like we might be in for a defensive battle, with Milwaukee winning Game 1 by a score of 93-86. I like the Bucks to continue to throttle the Bulls offense on home court.
