We are moving rather quickly toward the midway point of the NBA regular season, and we can now safely say who we think the favorites to win it all this year are. 2023 NBA Betting MyBookie Sportsbook | Regular Season: October 24, 2023, to April 14, 2024 | NBA Week 11
In the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks look like the real deal, while the west has the Timberwolves, Thunder, and the defending champion Denver Nuggets all looking very strong indeed. Of course, with more than half the season still to come, we might yet see a contender emerge from the pack. The fact that the bookies still have the Phoenix Suns in among the championship favorites tells you that they don’t think anything is a foregone conclusion. All we can for now is look at the next games up, so let’s do that by picking some of the NBA best games on the weekend schedule.
New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers
Friday, January 5, 7:30 PM at ESPN | While it is the Celtics and Bucks getting all the love in the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia 76ers are lurking just behind the top 2 and looking like a legitimate threat. They are 23-10 overall and are on a run that has seen them win 7 of their last 10 games. They have been particularly tough to knock off in their own building, going 13-4 in home games this season. While this is one that you would expect Philly to win, the Knicks are showing some signs of life, winning back-to-back games ahead of this one, although they are still sitting down in the play-in zone. The Knicks are a couple of games below .500 on the road, but I still think they will be a stiff test for the 76ers.

Boston Celtics at Indiana Pacers
Saturday, January 6, 7:00 PM | It’s a relatively quiet night in the NBA on Saturday, but this is one game that definitely catches the eye. The Celtics have been perfect at home this season on their way to the top spot in the Easter Conference, but they have proven beatable on the road. That is not to suggest that they are poor away from home, but at 10-7, they are not the unstoppable force they are on home court. The Pacers are down in the #5 spot, but this is a team heading in the right direction after winning 5 in a row to get to 19-14 overall. They are 10-7 on home court, and while that is not a record that strikes fear into a team as good as the Celtics, the current form of the Pacers should make the #1 team more than a little wary of this road trip.

New Orleans Pelicans at Sacramento Kings
Sunday, January 7, 6:00 PM | While plenty of basketball fans will probably be looking at the rivalry game between the Clippers and Lakers on Sunday, for me, this one feels like the better option to watch and wager on. There really is very little separating these teams in terms of stats, with both sitting 4 games off the pace in the Western Conference. The Pelicans are hot at the moment, winning 4 in a row, with their road record sitting at 9-7. The Kings are coming off a win of their own, but at 6-4 in their last 10 games, they have cooled off a little. The Kings are 12-6 at home, but they will have a battle on their hands here.

Another big weekend of NBA action is almost upon us, with a ton of very good games to choose from. 2023 NBA Betting MyBookie Sportsbook | Regular Season: October 24, 2023, to April 14, 2024 | NBA Week 9
Some of you may well be willing to make a bet on all of them, while others will be a little pickier and try to narrow things down to a more manageable betting level. That is where we come in, as we are picking out a trio of games that we really like on the weekend schedule. We are picking a game from the Friday and Saturday schedules, with each one of our picks being games that we are excited to watch and wager on NBA weekend games. You guys may have a different idea about the matchups that you find intriguing, but I think we can all agree that these 3 games are very good indeed.
Phoenix Suns at Sacramento Kings
Friday, December 22nd, 10:00 PM | Prior to the start of the season, the Phoenix Suns were considered one of the favorites to win it all this year, and while they are still up among the current favorites, you have to winder for how much longer if their current form continues. They are 14-13 at the time of writing, but they have been particularly poor of late, winning just 3 of their last 10 games. That said, they do have a winning 7-5 record on the road. The Kings are 16-9 and rolling at the moment, winning 3 in a row and 7 of their last 10 games. The Kings have been particularly good on home court, going 10-3 to this point in the season. The Suns need this one to avoid slipping out of the play-in zone.
Boston Celtics at LA Clippers
Saturday, December 23rnd, 3:30 PM | The Boston Celtics are one of only two teams to have won 20 games this season, thanks in large part to them going 14-0 in their own building. They have not quite been as unbeatable away from the Garden and are actually playing .500 ball on the road, going 6-6. That could prove to be bad news for the Eastern Conference leaders, as they will be heading to LA to face a Clippers team that is absolutely red-hot right now, winning 8 in a row and 9 of their last 10 games heading into Wednesday night action. The Clippers are solid on home court, going 11-3 in home games. All of that makes this one an exciting matchup.
Orlando Magic at Indiana Pacers
Saturday, December 23rnd, 7:00 PM | The schedule is dark on Sunday, with the NBA one of the few leagues playing games on Christmas Day. The players are all getting a day off on Christmas Eve, so let’s look at another game set to go on Saturday night. This one has the Orlando Magic, who are coming off back-to-back losses to the Celtics last week. They are still #4 in the Eastern Conference, though, so I think those losses are a minor blip on the radar. The Pacers are down in the play-in zone at the moment, sliding down the rankings after losing 4 in a row. They do have a winning record on home court, going 7-6, so perhaps they can snap out of their slump in this one.
