NBA Week 16 Against the Spread Betting Picks: Must Bet Games

While talk of the trade deadline and the upcoming All-Star Game is beginning to gather some momentum, it is worth remembering that we still have a lot of basketball to be played before we get to those events. It all begins with Week 16, which begins on Monday night. It’s a busy schedule to start the week and we have you covered with ATS NBA Betting picks for all the games on the Monday schedule, so let’s jump right in.

ATS Betting Picks in Week 16 of the 2022-2023 NBA Season

Orlando Magic (+9) at Philadelphia 76ers

Both of these teams have been very decent bets against the spread in recent weeks. Philly has covered in 4 of their last 5 games, but the Magic have been solid, too, going 7-2 ATS in their last 9. The Magic have also covered in each of their last 5 games versus the Atlantic Division, so let’s take them to cover here.

LA Lakers at Brooklyn Nets (-9)

Neither of these teams is playing particularly great ball at the moment, with both sitting at 4-5 SU in their last 10 games. The Nets, though, have been a good spread bet when playing teams from the Western Conference, going 8-3 ATS in their last 11 meetings, so I am on the Nets.

Sacramento Kings at Minnesota Timberwolves (+1)

They don’t come more evenly matched than this one, hence the point spread here, which is essentially a pick play. The Kings have covered just once in their last 7 versus teams from the from the Northwest Division, while the Timberwolves are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

Washington Wizards (-6) at San Antonio Spurs

Most teams are still very much in the hunt for a playoff spot, but the Spurs are one of the few who look dead in the water. They have lost 9 of their last 10 and look to be in trouble again versus a Washington team that is on a 5-game win streak, covering in all 5 of those games.

Detroit Pistons (+8 ½) at Dallas Mavericks

This is a game that looks to have blowout written all over it, but I am not so sure that the Pistons will roll over and die in this one. Yes, they are well off the pace being set by the Mavericks, but this Dallas team has only managed to cover twice in their last 8, so I think Detroit hangs around and covers the spread.

Toronto Raptors (+1 ½) at Phoenix Suns

Both of these teams are also very evenly matched, and while you would certainly give the Suns the edge on home court, I am leaning toward Toronto here, although this is one that I would definitely not give a huge vote of confidence to. There are certainly other picks here I am more comfortable making.

Atlanta Hawks (+2) at Portland Trail Blazers

This is another matchup that looks to be really evenly matched, but for this one, I am looking at current form, with the Hawks winning 6 of their last 10, while Portland has 4 wins in the same stretch. The Hawks are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 visits to Portland, but I think they snap that streak tonight.
