Week 20 in the Association has its fair share of excellent hoops matchups. Top against the spread picks start on Tuesday when the Los Angeles Lakers head to Memphis to take on Ja Morant and the Grizzlies. Saturday’s top matchup is an ABC broadcast game between the Bucks and the 76ers. See below for analysis and free picks for six of this week’s best NBA spread line plays.
NBA Week 20 Betting Predictions: Against The Spread Picks for the Best Week’s Matches
- When: Tuesday, Feb. 28 – Sunday, March 5
L.A. Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies
Tuesday, Feb. 28 | Few teams improved at the trade deadline as much as the Los Angeles Lakers. Heading into March, LAL is playing great ball. In their last recorded matchup on Feb. 26, the Lakers beat and covered against the Mavericks in a 111 to 108 game.
Memphis remains one of the league’s top teams. But Ja and his mates could bounce in this after a sweet victory against Nikola Jokic and Denver in the last. The King and his team covers.
NBA ATS Pick: L.A. Lakers
New Orleans Pelicans at Portland Trail Blazers
Wednesday, March 1 | Zion Williamson can’t stay healthy. Williamson is once again out, this time, due to a hamstring injury. The Pels have said Zion will return in early March.
No doubt, early March doesn’t mean the first of March. So we shouldn’t expect Williamson to step onto the court versus Portland.
Future hall of fame player Damian Lillard scored 71 points and had 13 three-pointers in a win over Houston in the Blazers’ last. Lillard won’t need to drop that many for Portland to cover versus New Orleans.
NBA ATS Pick: Portland Trail Blazers
L.A. Clippers at Golden State Warriors
Thursday, March 2 | The Warriors are on a 2-match winning streak. But before beating the Rockets and T’Wolves, the Dubs had lost 2 straight to the Clippers and Lakers.
In the defeat against the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard dropped 33. Finally, Kawhi has begun to resemble his old self. LAC gets the cover victory.
NBA ATS Pick: Los Angeles Clippers
Brooklyn Nets at Boston Celtics
Friday, March 3 | The Nets no longer boast two of the top players in the NBA, but Brooklyn is still a hard trying bunch. But on Friday, the Nets face an Eastern Conference rival who will have zero sympathy.
Boston is 7-1 ATS heading into the week. The Celtics have returned to their straight up and spread dominating ways. Unless the Cs head into this without their top players, they roll to a win and cover.
NBA ATS Pick: Boston Celtics
Philadelphia 76ers at Milwaukee Bucks
Saturday, March 4 | Cleveland Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam are on the verge of purchasing the Milwaukee Bucks. So if you’re a Bucks fan, you have reason to be nervous.
Giannis may not play in this due to nagging injuries. But even if Antetokounmpo steps onto the court, Philly gets the nod. Heading into the week, the Sixers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6.
NBA ATS Pick: Philadelphia 76ers
Phoenix Suns at Dallas Mavericks
Sunday, March 5 | Once Kevin Durant steps onto the court, the Suns should be super tough to beat. Right now, though, KD isn’t playing.
Dallas’ Kyrie Irving, Durant’s former teammate, is playing. Kyrie and Luka Doncic have yet to gel. It’s going to happen and when it does, it’s lights out, which is why the Mavs are the team to back to cover the spread.
NBA ATS Pick: Dallas Mavericks
