Album of the Year | 2024 Grammy Odds

The 2024 Grammy odds are usually going to be pretty tight for every single category, but that isn’t the case when looking at the Album of the Year. Taylor Swift Midnights is clearly the favorite to take home this award as she has odds set at -1500.

That doesn’t mean that there weren’t some other great albums released last year, but Swift just seems to be in complete control of the industry at this time. Here are some of the other options to check out if you want to pick an upset.

  • Lana Del Rey- Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel +600
  • SZA- SOS +700
  • Boygenius- The Record +700
  • Miley Cyrus- Endless Summer Vacation +900
  • Jon Batiste- World Music Radio +900

Song of the Year | 2024 Grammy Odds

While there is still a betting favorite to win Song of the Year in 2024, the odds tend to be much tighter when looking at this category. This could be another category where Taylor Swift takes home an award as her song “Antihero” is currently favored at -250.

This is one category where the odds have shifted a bit since they have been released as some songs just continue to become more popular over time. Here are some of the other odds for Song of the Year that you should be looking to check out:

  • Billie Eilish- What Was I Made For +300
  • Miley Cyrus- Flowers +600
  • SZA- Kill Bill +800
  • Jon Batiste- Butterfly +1200

There are always going to be some surprising selections when the Grammy winners are announced, and the Song of the Year category is one where it looks like that could happen. Swift is still favored to take home yet another win, but there are some other great artists and songs that will be looking to pull off the upset.

Best New Artist | 2024 Grammy Odds

One of the best races to follow when it comes to the 2024 Grammy Awards is the odds to win the best new artist. There were some great artists that burst onto the scene last year, and that is going to make this category one to follow when checking out the betting odds.

  • Ice Spice -200
  • Victoria Monet -130
  • Jelly Roll +150
  • Fred Again +800
  • Noah Kahan +800

The race to win the best new artist has been fun to follow over the last 12 months, and the winner is going to beat out some worthy competition. There are always some awards that are more exciting than others, and that will be the case with this one.

Ice Spice has emerged as the betting favorite to win this award, but there are going to be others that could step up and get that done. There is a ton of value in betting on Jelly Roll at +150, and he will be an artist to watch.

Best Pop Solo Performance | 2024 Grammy Odds

Taylor Swift is likely going to take home a handful of awards at the Grammy’s, but there is still a chance that she could be defeated as well. The best pop solo performance is always one to watch at each of the Grammy Awards since this is such a popular category.

Miley Cyrus is actually the betting favorite to win this award at +105, and it’s the only time that Swift isn’t a massive favorite in any of her categories. You don’t have to look far down the list of odds to find Swift though as she currently has betting odds set at +115 to win this award.

There are three other worthy award winners in this category, and there could always be a massive surprise as well. Here are three of the other artists and their performances that could be names to watch:

  • Billie Eilish- What Was I Made For +400
  • Olivia Rodrigo- Vampire +500
  • Doja Cat- Paint the Town Red +1000

Best Pop Vocal Album | 2024 Grammy Odds

Most of the artists in the music industry tend to get along pretty well, but there are also those that are extremely good friends. That is the case with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, and they will be competing in the same category to try to win the best pop vocal album.

Swift is once again a big favorite in this category as the betting odds have her at -1000 with her Midnights album. She is trying to become one of the most awarded artists of all-time, and it looks as if she is going to get that done this year.

Ed Sheeran and his Minus album have odds set at +500 in this category, and Olivia Rodrigo is also sitting at +500 for Guts. Minus and Guts were some great albums released this past year, but it’s just so hard to compete with Taylor Swift in any category.

Miley Cyrus and Kelly Clarkson are both in this category as well, and they have odds that are respectable and could be interesting to select. Cyrus is sitting at +600 for her Endless Summer Vacation album, while Clarkson is last on the list at +900 with Chemistry.

Best Record of the Year | 2024 Grammy Odds

  • Taylor Swift – Anti-Hero -175
  • SZA – Kill Bill +375
  • Miley Cyrus – Flower +500
  • boygenius – Not Strong Enough +650
  • Billie Eilish – What Was I Made For? +700
  • Oliva Rodrigo – Vampire +700
  • Victoria Monet – On My Mama +800
  • Jon Batiste – Worship +900

If you’re going to take down Taylor, this is the category to do it. The -175 odds on Anti-Hero suggests Swift is vulnerable to losing out on the Record of the Year Grammy.

SZA with Kill Bill is the likely recipient if Swift falters. But we can’t discount Miley Cyrus, boygenius, or Billie Eilish.

Eilish in particular is interesting. The reason? +700 on Eilish puts Billie in overlay territory. Grammy voters love to give Eilish trophies almost as much as they love handing them out to Taylor Swift. Rolling the dice on Billie makes sense.

2024 Grammy Awards Odds & Predictions

Best New Artist | 2024 Grammy Odds

  • Ice Spice -550
  • Victoria Monet +500
  • Coco Jones +700
  • Noah Kahan +800
  • Gracie Abrams +950
  • Fred Again +950
  • The War and Treaty +1000
  • Jelly Roll +1200

Victoria Monet and Ice Spice opened at the same odds. All the action is going to rapper Ice Spice. The -550 favorite should be a lock based on the way the action is going.

The fact Victoria Monet hasn’t kept pace should concern if you are a fan or if you laid money down on Ariana Grande’s bud.

But although Spice and Monet will be tough to beat, the smart play might be on Coco Jones. Jones hails from Nashville. She’s been involved in the music industry for at least 10 years. Last year, she finally got a break. At the odds, give Coco a shot.

Best New Artist Prediction: Coco Jones | Bet Grammys to Win

Song of the Year | 2024 Grammy Odds

  • Taylor Swift – Anti-Hero -550
  • Billie Eilish – What Was I Made For? +725
  • Dua Lipa – Dance the Night +725
  • SZA – Kill Bill +725
  • Miley Cyrus – Flowers +800
  • Lana Del Rey – A&W +850
  • Jon Batiste – Butterfly +1000
  • Olivia Rodrigo – Vampire +1000

The odds and the lack of action on any artists except Taylor are telling us that the Swifties will start screaming early. Taylor Swift should win for Anti-Hero because the second choice, third choice, and fourth choice, all show +725 odds.

Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and SZA haven’t separated from each other in the betting while Swift is running away with it according to the betting. Jon Batiste, Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, and Miley Cyrus have almost zero shot. Back the chalk to cash.

Song of the Year Prediction: Taylor Swift | Bet Grammys to Win

Album of the Year | 2024 Grammy Odds

  • Taylor Swift – Midnights -220
  • SZA – SOS +425
  • Lana Del Rey – Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean BLVD +525
  • Olivia Rodrigo – Guts +600
  • boygenius – The Record +725
  • Jon Batiste – World Music Radio +900
  • Miley Cyrus – Endless Summer Vacation +900

Midnight, Taylor Swift’s favored album, is the likeliest winner. SOS by SZA is the second choice and is the most likely to upset Swift.

But it would be nice if Lana Del Rey won the award for Album of the Year. Del Rey is a true artist and Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean BLVD is almost a work of genius. Also, odds wise, Del Rey has an interesting number. +525 is borderline favoritism.

In addition, Lana Del Rey’s music won’t be confused with Olivia Rodrigo’s or Taylor Swift’s. So Del Rey voters should be in full force. The play is on Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean BLVD.

Album of the Year Prediction: Lana Del Rey – Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean BLVD | Bet Grammys to Win

Previous Betting News

This past Sunday on April 3, the 2022 Grammy Awards took place. Two chalks, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift, didn’t grab a significant award. In fact, it’s not a far stretch to say that upsets ruled on Grammy Awards night. Check out our Grammy Awards Betting recap of which performing acts scored biggest.

Silk Sonic smoothly rolls to two major awards

Heading into the Grammy’s, most thought Silk Sonic, the super duo of Bruno Mars and rapper and singer Anderson .Paak, were an underdog to win an award.

Silk Sonic had received a few nominations in the most important categories. But those categories were loaded. Olivia Rodrigo was the chalk while many others thought either Eilish or Swift might take home the top awards

Those who believed Billie, who seven days earlier had won an Oscar for the song No Time to Die, or Taylor might grab Grammy gold were mistaken. Mars and .Paak won the Grammys for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for the same tune

Leave the Door Open was the night’s big winner. It beat out Eilish’s Happier Than Ever, Rodrigo’s Driver’s License, and Lil Nas X’s Montero

Jon Batiste grabs Album of the Year

Once Grammy nominations arrived, one name stood out, Jon Batiste. The smooth-voiced recording artist wasn’t on anybody’s early nomination list

The fact Batiste’s We Are got an Album of the Year nomination along with Billie Eilish, H.E.R, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo and Kanye West meant Batiste had a shot to win. We Are came through with an Album of the Year victory.

The album is a throwback to old school R&B, which might be the reason it beat out its more contemporary competitors. In any case, Batiste is sure to follow up the Grammy with some great work. So keep your ears open to hear what he comes up with next.

Olivia Rodrigo scores a couple of Grammys

Four months ago, Olivia Rodrigo was a lock to win multiple Grammy awards. In past Grammy ceremonies, voters tended to back the same recording artist in multiple categories

But on Sunday night, Rodrigo got shut out for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year. She did win for Best New Artist and also scored a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album

Beating Justin Beiber, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande is no small task. But Best Pop Vocal Album is not the same as Album of the Year. So in that sense, Rodrigo underperformed.

Vicente Fernandez wins a posthumous award

One of the greatest Mexican regional musicians in history, and one of the most famous, won a posthumous award. Vicente Fernandez suffered a fall at his ranch last December

Fernandez never recovered and passed away on December 12. During his career, Fernandez sold over 50 million copies of his albums worldwide. He recorded more than 50 albums and contributed to over 30 movies.

The Tejano music legend’s work A Mis 80’s won a Grammy for best Regional Mexican Music Album. It was Fernandez’s fourteenth Grammy win. Fernandez also won a Latin Grammy for A Mis 80’s, his thirteenth

Awards show season is pretty much done. But that doesn’t mean MyBookie won’t have any entertainment betting options. Continue to check for the latest entertainment news as well as up to date options in the entertainment category.

2020 Grammy Nominations are out. As always, there were big surprises and even bigger snubs. Did Taylor Swift clean up? Did Olivia Rodrigo live up to her record sales by grabbing multiple Grammy noms? Did Kanye grab a nom for Album of the Year, and what do the early odds indicate? Check out the latest Grammy nomination news in our weekly entertainment blog so you can bet against the Grammy Award odds

2022 GRAMMYs Nominations Review | Entertainment Betting

2022 Grammy Awards

  • When: Jan. 31, 2022
  • Where: Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, CA

What are the biggest surprises?

For the first time, the Grammys provided nominations without the help of selection committees. Not only did the committees sit this one out, and will so for future nominations, but the four main categories got expanded from 8 noms to 10

Because of that, there weren’t many big surprises. One surprise is that Jon Batiste nabbed 11 nominations. Batiste is a front runner to when many. But he’s not a front runner to win either Album of the Year or Record of the Year.

Another surprise? Kanye West’s Donda got a nomination for Album of the Year. The biggest surprise, though, was ABBA, the Nordic group from the 1970s, securing a nomination for Record the Year for I Still Have Faith

How about the biggest snubs?

A couple of huge snubs happened even though the expansion opened the door for a couple of more nominations. BTS, the most popular boy band on the planet, didn’t grab a nom

The South Korean superstar group didn’t get a single nomination. Nor did Lorde who by most accounts created one of the best albums of the year

Many are wondering why Lorde didn’t pick up a single nom. Some are also wondering why Trent Reznor produced If I Can’t Have Love I Want Power didn’t get a nomination.

Tyler the Creator has said before that how he thinks Grammy voters prefer to put black artists into the rap categories. Tyler’s fantastic Call Me If You Get Lost should have gotten 1 of the 10 available Album of the Year nominations.

What do the early Grammy Awards odds for Album of the Year tell us?

Olivia Rodrigo got nominated in all major categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist. Rodrigo is a lock to win Best New Artist.

She’s the favorite to win Album of the Year. She may not, though, because Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, and H.E.R are also nominated for their excellent albums

Of the three, Swift is the top contender. When Grammy voters feel like they have no where they turn, they often turn to Taylor.

Eilish also has a shot. So does Doja Cat who created the album with the catchiest and most memorable songs. So if you decide to shun Olivia for Album of the Year, you had better handicap the other contenders because after Rodrigo, it’s wide-open.

2022 Grammy Awards – Nomination Predictions for Best New Artist

Previous Betting News

Each year one of the most anticipated Grammy awards of the ceremony is for Best New Artist. This year is no exception. Although nominations don’t come out until next month, it helps us to prepare by predicting where those nominations might land. Right now Best New Artist looks like a two-person race. Checkout who those two musical artists are in our Grammy Nomination Predictions for Best New Artist blog so you can bet against their Grammy Awards odds.

2022 Grammy Awards – Nomination Predictions for Best New Artist

2022 Grammy Awards

  • When: Jan. 31, 2022

Olivia Rodrigo and The Kid Laroi should end up chalk

Rodrigo is a lock to get a nomination. She became a name before debuting her album after appearing in the High School Musical series.

Here debut album, Sour, posted a couple of top charting hits, Ðrivers License and Good 4 U. Rodrigo is also a favorite to receive nominations in other categories, which means she should definitely get the nom for Best New Artist

Consider Rodrigo the favorite. The second choice will be The Kid Laroi.

The Kid had a number one single this year, Stay, which he performed with Justin Beiber. Laroi’s album, F*ck Love, also hit number one this year.

Arlo Parks, Saweetie, and Clairo will be tough to keep from nominations

After Grammy voters hand nominations to Oliva Rodrigo and The Kid Laroi, there’s a good chance they give noms to Arlo Parks, Saweetie, and Clairo.

Pop-rock singer Clairo produced an album that critics loved, Sling. It was Clairo’s first work to hit the Top 20 on Billboard’s 200 albums chart. Although not as popular in terms of sales as The Kid Laroi and Olivia Rodrigo, Clairo had the critics fawning, which could lead to a Best New Artist nomination

Saweetie shows a couple of platinum singles in the last two years, My Type and Tap In. The 2021 single with Doja Cat, Best Friend, was her highest-charting single yet.

Arlo Parks is a British musical artists whose album Collapsed in Sunbeams received multiple Brit Award nominations. Like Clairo, Parks has music critics excited about what she will do next.

Top underdogs who can grab noms include Gaby Barrett and Celeste

If Grammy voters decide to go a different route, the top two underdogs with a shot are Gaby Barrett and Celeste. Barrett got her break on American Idol

She’s already won new artist awards from CMT Music Awards and the Country Music Awards. She could definitely grab a Best New Artist Grammy nomination

Celeste’s debut album Not Your Muse grabbed Brit Awards for Best New Artist and Album of the Year. She’s got a track record, which makes her a possibility

If you’re thinking big time underdog, don’t be surprised if Maneskin, who won the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, Ava Maxx, who has a gold album with Heaven and Hell, and Glass Animals, who got their first top 10 album on the Billboard 200 in 2020, secure nominations

2022 Grammy Awards – Nomination Predictions for Album of the Year

Previous Betting News

Grammy nominations don’t come out until Nov. 23. But it’s never too early to make predictions, which is why in this week’s entertainment news blog, we’re going to predict which musical artists are likely to grab a nom for Album of the Year. Let’s get right to it so you can start planning your bets against the Grammy Awards odds.

2022 Grammy Awards
When: Jan. 31, 2022

2022 Grammy Awards – Nomination Predictions for Album of the Year

Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour and Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever are locks

18-year-old Olivia Rodrigo is one of those Disney stars turned superstar performers ala Selena Gomez and Justin Timberlake. Grammy voters love to nominate former Disney talent, which is why Rodrigo’s album, Sour, is a lock

Billie Eilish cleaned up in 2020 for the 2019 album When We All fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. She won Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance

Eilish two Grammy awards last year, one for Record of the Year and another for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Like Rodrigo’s Sour, Eilish’s album Happier Than Ever is a lock to grab a nomination for Album of the Year

Lil Nas X should grab a nom for Montero and Taylor Swift grabs another nomination for Evermore

Lil Nas X’s Montero has gotten strong buzz since it’s debut. No doubt, Grammy voters will want to award Nas X with a nomination for Album of the Year

It’s also impossible to see Swift’s album, Evermore, not grabbing a nomination. Taylor is one of the most prolific, and talented, recording artists on the planet. Swift’s Folklore took home the Grammy for Album of the Year at the 2021 ceremony

If the Grammy Awards likes to do anything, it’s to hand out nominations to Taylor Swift.

Megan Thee Stallion and Ariana Grande are next in line based on odds

Right now, Megan Thee Stallion and Ariana Grande offer similar odds to win Album of the Year. Megan Thee’s album, Good News, is an underlay to win. It will get a nom, though.

Ariana’s album, Positions, might be an overlay to not only grab a nomination but to also win. Grande is a judge on The Voice.

She’s on television twice a week, which means Grammy voters get to see her talent and incredible depth of musical knowledge. She’ll be front of mind and should absolutely see a nomination.

Underdogs include Justin Bieber, Chris Stapleton, Doja Cat, H.E.R, Lana Del Rey, and the Foo Fighters

In 2018, the Grammy’s increased nominated albums from five to eight. Rodrigo, Eilish, Nas X, Swift, and Grande look like locks.

Megan Thee Stallion is likely to grab the sixth nomination. The other two nominations could go to Justin Bieber, Chris Stapleton, Doja Cat, H.E.R., Lana Del Rey, or the Foo Fighters

Among the group, don’t be surprised if Beiber grabs a nom. Justice¸ The Beeb’s latest, shows a different dimension. The kid has grown up and Grammy voters might reward him for it

The Foo Fighters have a chance to also grab a nom. It’s not a great chance, but it’s a chance. First, let’s be clear, Medicine at Midnight isn’t close to being David Grohl’s best

But Grammy voters still remember the good old days when rock was where it’s at. They could hand out a nomination to Grohl and the Fighters simply because they miss those days when it was okay to be disgruntled.

If Beiber and the Foos don’t grab the final two nominations, Doja Cat, H.E.R., Lana Del Rey, and Chris Stapleton should. All four are deserving. So it’s a matter of what the voters prefer.

The 2021 Grammy Awards were supposed to happen on January 31. Due to the coronavirus, Grammy event planners changed the date to sometime in February. Check out updated Grammy Awards odds and picks for the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Entertainment Betting News: 2021 Grammy Awards Rapidly Approaching

2021 Grammy Awards

  • When: Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 8:00 pm ET
  • TV: CBS
  • Streaming: CBS All-Access

Album of the Year

  • Folklore – Taylor Swift -260
  • Future Nostalgia – Dua Lipa +250
  • Hollywood’s Bleeding – Post Malone +600
  • Everyday Life – Coldplay +1000
  • Black Pumas (Deluxe Edition) +1400
  • Chilombo – Jhene Aiko +1200
  • Djesse vol. 3 – Jacob Collier +900
  • Women in Music Pt. III – Haim +1400

Only three artists have won three or more Grammys for Album of The Year, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon. Taylor Swift could be the fourth person and the first woman to pull off the feat.

Taylor took the award in 2010 for Fearless and 2016 for 1989. She’s probably a lock, which is why if you’re looking for easy money, back Taylor.

But Jacob Collier is an interesting dude. He’s one of those super-smart guys who likes to go out of his way to be creative. Sometimes, artists like that create crap. Collier doesn’t create crap. Djesse vol. 3 is great.

Grammy Award Pick: Folklore – Taylor Swift

Grammy Award Underdog Pick: Djesse vol. 3 – Jacob Collier

Record of the Year

  • Don’t Stop Now – Dua Lipa -280
  • Savage – Megan Thee Stallion Featuring Beyonce +400
  • Black Parade – Beyonce +350
  • Everything I Wanted – Billie Eilish +750
  • Circles – Post Malone +1200
  • DaBaby Featuring Roddy Ricch +2000
  • Doja Cat +1000
  • Colors – Black Pumas +1800

We understand why Grammy voters could back Dua Lipa’s Don’t Start Now. Hits rule this category. The better the production, the more awesome the vocal performance, the more likely to take Record of The Year.

Don’t Start Now qualifies. But so does Savage – Megan Thee Stallion Featuring Beyonce, Black Parade by Beyonce and Billie Eilish’s Everything I Wanted.

Billie swept the 2020 Grammys. She could win another. We’re making Eilish our longshot play. Beyonce is the chalk that could walk to the podium.

Grammy Award Pick: Black Parade – Beyonce

Grammy Award Underdog Pick: Everything I Wanted – Billie Eilish

Best New Artist

  • Megan Thee Stallion -180
  • Phoebe Bridgers +400
  • Doja Cat +400
  • Ingrid Andress +2000
  • Kaytranada +2200
  • Noah Cyrus +2200
  • Smoke +3500
  • Chika +3500

This is a battle between Doja Cat, Phoebe Bridges, and Megan Thee Stallion. The pick is Megan Thee Stallion, the fastest rising artist in the rap genre. The underdog pick? Doja Cat will get some votes, but it’s hard to not go with Phoebe Bridgers. Her popularity has skyrocketed in the indie music scene.

Grammy Award Pick: Megan Thee Stallion

Grammy Award Underdog Pick: Phoebe Bridgers

Song of the Year

  • Cardigan – Taylor Swift -125
  • Don’t Start Now – Dua Lipa +275
  • Black Parade – Beyonce +300
  • I Can’t Breathe – H.E.R. +1500
  • Everything I Wanted – Billie Eilish +900
  • Circles – Post Malone
  • The Box – Roddy Ricch +1800
  • If The World Was Ending – JP Saxe FT. J.Michaels +1600

Cardigan is going to be tough to beat. Most every Grammy analysts feels Taylor takes home the statue in this category as well as Album of The Year. But we went with Beyonce for Record of The Year.

Often, the Record of The Year winner also gets the award for Song of The Year. We think that contrary to popular opinion, Taylor doesn’t dominate the 2021 Grammy Awards. Bey does.

What song deserves to be our underdog pick? Billie Eilish with Everything I Wanted is a possibility, but I Can’t Breathe by H.E.R. has awesome upset potential.

Grammy Award Pick: Black Parade – Beyonce

Grammy Award Underdog Pick: I Can’t Breathe – H.E.R

  • Vampire Weekend – Father of the Bride +1600
  • Bon Iver – I, I +800
  • Lil Nas X – 7 +2500
  • E.R – I Used to Know Here +3000

Billie Eilish is the favorite here and she’ll be difficult to beat, but my preference goes to Ariana Grande, even though she’s a long-shot in this category. Lizzo could get the upset here, but Ellish looks like the smart pick here simply because six songs from here “When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” reached the Billboard charts

First, the odds are much better. Second, none of us are dumping hundreds of dollars on any Grammy category. Not with the Super Bowl 7 days after the Grammy show

Not only that, but Ariana can make a case for Album of the Year. Thank U, Next set streaming and download records. It made a ton of Best of 2019 lists. 11 of the 12 singles on the album were in the Top 40 in the same week. It’s a great album. Billie gets the Best New Artist award. Ariana picks up Album of the Year

2020 Grammy Awards Pick: Ariana Grande – Thank U, Next

Record Of The Year

  • Lil Nas X – Old Town Road -140
  • Billie Elish – Bad Guy +125
  • Lizzo – Truth Hurts +400
  • Ariana Grande – 7 Rings +600
  • Post Malone & Swea Lee – Sunflower +1000
  • E.R – Hard Place +1500
  • Khalid – Talk +2000
  • Bon Iver – Hey, Ma +3000

Make no mistake about it “Old Town Road” is by far, the clear-cut favorite in this category and I’m pretty sure he’s got this one on lock-down for his smash hit which you heard just about everywhere you went this summer. Ellish will get some votes as will Lizzo, but the outcome here is pretty much etched in stone!

Old Town Road features Billy Ray Cyrus. It melds different genres: blues, country, and hip-hop. It’s also catchy as heck. Plus, the Grammy people have to award Lil Nas X in something, right? This is where they award him. Back the chalk

2020 Grammy Awards Pick: Lil Nas X – Old Town Road

Song Of the Year

  • Lizzo – Truth Hurts +130
  • Billie Elish – Bad Guy +150
  • Taylor Swift – Lover +250
  • Lewis Capaldi – Someone You Loved +300
  • Lady Gaga – Always Remember Us This Way +600
  • Lana Del Rey – Norman F***ing Rockwell! +1000
  • E.R – Hard Place +1800
  • Tanya Tucker – Bring My Flowers Now +2000

While there’s no real, clear-cut favorite in this category, I like Billie Ellish to get the big win here for her unique song Bad Guy. I personally don’t like Lizzo’s Truth Hurts, but the blossoming star is definitely going to garner a few votes here. Bad Guy got over a billion downloads on Spotify. How can anyone beat that? We’ll tell you how. Song of the Year is about the actual writing of the song. It has nothing to do with the production or engineering of the work

Lyrics to lyrics, Taylor Swift’s Lover should win hands down. Also, she’s the only artist that’s credited as the sole writer. Elish’s older brother, Finneas O’Connell, helped her with Bad Guy. Lizzo’s song came out in 2017. Swift wins in an upset

2020 Grammy Awards Pick: Taylor Swift – Lover

Best New Artist

  • Billie Elish -350
  • Lizzo +125
  • Lil Nas X +800
  • Rosalia +1100
  • Maggie Rogers +2000
  • Yola +2500
  • Black Pumas +3000
  • Tank and the Bangas +3500

If Eilish wins both, Best New Artist and Album of the Year, she would be the fourth performer ever to pull off the feat and the first since Norah Jones way back in 2003. Like her contemporary, Lizzo, Ellish incorporates a style that is uniquely original and utterly refreshing in today’s endless cycle of mediocre pop music. If this award were handed out in July, Lizzo would have almost assuredly won it. Now, however, it’s Billie Ellish that has the look of a sure-fire winner in this category

2020 Grammy Awards Pick: Billie Elish

2019 Grammy Awards Odds, Predictions & Picks

Album of the Year

  • “Black Panther,” Various Artists +170
  • “Golden Hour,” Kacey Musgraves +170
  • “Dirty Computer,” Janelle Monae +350
  • “Scorpion,” Drake +500
  • “Invasion of Privacy,” Cardi B +900
  • “By the Way, I Forgive You,” Brandi Carlile +1100
  • “Beerbongs and Bentleys,” Post Malone +2000
  • “H.E.R.,” H.E.R. +2000

Analysis: While Kacey Musgraves’ “Golden Hour” is undeniably a fine album in its own right, make no mistake about it, the various artists (Including Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott) that performed for Marvel’s smash hit film, “Black Panther” have got this award all locked up. This looks like a two-album race, but in reality, it’s not!

2019 Grammy Awards Betting Pick: Black Panther

Best New Artist

  • H.E.R. +100
  • Dua Lipa +200
  • Greta Van Fleet +600
  • Chloe x Halle +700
  • Bebe Rexha +1400
  • Margo Price +2000
  • Jorja Smith +2000
  • Luke Combs +2000

Analysis: I have no idea how H.E.R. is the prohibitive favorite here, but my money is on the british-born Dua Lipa to bring home the hardware for best new artist. The 23-year-old superstar struck gold with a fantastic eight singles that all made the Tp 40 or higher on several widely-respected charts. “New Rules” is Lipa’s first number-one single in the UK and also reached the top 10 in the United States, peaking at number six. However, for me, it’s her IDGAF song that stands out head and shoulders above every other song she’s made to date. Then again, maybe it’s because I’ve had to go ‘Dua’ on several people in 2018..like..IDGAF!

2019 Grammy Awards Betting Pick: Dua Lipa

Record of the Year

  • “This is America,” Childish Gambino -170
  • “Shallow,” Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper +170
  • “All the Stars,” Kendrick Lamar and SZA +700
  • “God’s Plan,” Drake +1400
  • “I Like It,” Cardi B feat. Bad Bunny and J Balvin +1100
  • “The Middle,” Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey +1600
  • “The Joke,” Brandi Carlile +2500
  • “Rockstar,” Post Malone feat. 21 Savage +2500

Analysis: Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper will get their share of votes to win this award, but for me, it’s Childish Gambino’s uniquely original “This is America” that is a near-lock to bring home the Grammy hardware for Record of the Year

“This Is America” became the 31st song to debut at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 while also topping the charts in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. The song, whose vidoe spurre a bunch of varied opinions globally, is nominated for four Grammy Awards

2019 Grammy Awards Betting Pick: “This is America,” Childish Gambino

Song of the Year

  • “Shallow,” Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper -250
  • “This is America,” Childish Gambino +270
  • “All the Stars,” Kendrick Lamar and SZA +800
  • “The Joke,” Brandi Carlile +1200
  • “God’s Plan,” Drake +1200
  • “The Middle,” Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey +2500
  • “In My Blood,” Shawn Mendes +1600
  • “Boo’d Up,” Ella Mai +2500

Analysis: I personally don’t care that Lady gaga and Childish gambino are the top favorites to win Sing of the Year. For me, this award should be a no-brainer for Ella Mai’s fantastic Boodd’ Up. Ella Mai is the first British artist to top the US R&B charts since Lisa Stansfield in 1992. I think this award should go to Mai, but unfortunately, it’s going to Lady gaga and Bradley Cooper (ugh)

2019 Grammy Awards Betting Pick: “Shallow,” Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper
