After a rare Monday night doubleheader, Week 2 of the NFL season is in the books. It has, in many ways, been a bit of a surprising start to the new season, but there is still a lot of football to be played, and I’m sure things will look very different once all is said and done. For now, though, here are the NFL Power Rankings as we prepare for Week 3 to consider in your NFL betting plans.
NFL 2023 Power Rankings of the Week 3 | NFL Odds, American Football NFL Lines by MyBookie Sportsbook
1. San Francisco 49ers
They did not look as solid as they did in their season opener, but the 49ers got past the Rams and crossed the 30-point mark again.
2. Dallas Cowboys
The D is as advertised, but the offense is doing their part, too, with Dallas outscoring the opposition 70-10 in the opening 2 games.
3. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles were pushed to the limit by Minnesota this past weekend, but still moved to 2-0.
4. Kansas City Chiefs
With Travis Kelce back in the lineup, the Chiefs looked like themselves once again.
5. Miami Dolphins
Starting with a pair of road games is tough, but the Dolphins passed that test with flying colors.
6. Buffalo Bills
After a Week 1 loss, the Bills needed a win in the worst way, which they got with an impressive team performance.
7. Baltimore Ravens
There are still some kinks to work out, but the Ravens are emerging as the team to beat in the North.
8. Detroit Lions
A massive Week 1 win on the road to the Chiefs was negated with a close defeat at the hands of Seattle this past weekend.
9. New York Jets
The Jets D is good, and they are going to have to be, as the offense looks poor without Rodgers.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars
Losing to the Chiefs is no great shame, but the Jags offense needs to get back on track.
11. LA Rams
This was expected to be a long season for the Rams, but this team looks a whole lot better than advertised.
12. New Orleans Saints
The move to get Derek Carr has proven to be a good one, with the Saints now sitting at 2-0.
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs are another team thriving with a new QB, but can Baker Mayfield continue to shine?
14. Atlanta Falcons
Still not sold on Desmond Ridder as a starting QB, but the Falcons are at 2-0 to start the year.
15. Cleveland Browns
With Nick Chubb out for the season after a horrific injury, this team could be headed in the wrong direction.
16. Washington Commanders
A 2-0 start is good, but I think we are all still waiting to see if they are for real.
17. Green Bay Packers
The Packers lost a close one in Week 2, but they also look pretty solid on offense with Love under center.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers
A big Monday night win fueled by the defense, but that offense needs some work.
19. Cincinnati Bengals
I’m not saying the Bengals are a one-man team, but it’s clear they need a healthy Joe Burrow.
20. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks looked better in Week 2, but they need to get their defense sorted quickly.
21. NY Giants
The Giants avoided an 0-2 start by the skin of their teeth, but it’s clear they need to be better from top to bottom.
22. Tennessee Titans
It was back to winning ways for Tennessee in Week 2, but we are still not convinced they are a top team.
23. Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders were stomped by the Bills in Week 2 and have what looks to be a rather shaky D.
24. Los Angeles Chargers
This is a team that looks rather fragile at the moment, as they are crumbling in close games.
25. New England Patriots
The last time the Patriots went 0-2 to start the season was 22 years ago, but here we are again.
26. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts won in Week 2, but they lost QB Anthony Richardson to concussion.
27. Minnesota Vikings
We expected a backward step for the Vikings this season, but it might be worse than we thought.
28. Denver Broncos
It is becoming clear that Sean Payton has a job on his hands to turn this team around.
29. Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young is showing some nice flashes at QB, but he needs some help.
30. Chicago Bears
Is Justin Fields the man for the job in Chicago? Right now, it does not look promising.
31. Arizona Cardinals
This is a team that looks destined to be heading for the #1 Draft Picks next year.
32. Houston Texans
The early returns from rookie QB CJ Stroud look good, but this is still a team that needs a lot of work.
