We are edging ever closer to the NHL All-Star Game and a well-earned break for every team in the league. Before we get there, though, we have another busy, albeit shorter, schedule ahead of us this week. That break is going to be welcomed by a lot of players, especially those on teams who have a ton of games to make up once we officially get into the second half of the season. It is going to be interesting to see how those teams react to cramming in so many games in such a short period of time. It could well be a stretch of games that makes or breaks a season for those teams. For now, let’s look ahead at the coming week and make some parlay picks so you can wager against the NHL Betting Odds.
Parlay Picks to Wager On From Jan. 31st to Feb. 2nd | NHL Betting
NHL Parlay – Panthers, Maple Leafs, Blackhawks – Monday
The Florida Panthers have a shot at going into the All-Star Break with the best record in the NHL, which they will look to improve when they hit the road to face the Columbus Blue Jackets. Both teams are on win streaks right now, but the Panthers have been that way all year.
The Maple Leafs are winners of 3 in a row and are once again trying to make a move in the highly competitive Atlantic Division. They will have the first of a home and home doubleheader against the Devils and look like a great bet on home ice.
I’m taking a bit of a risk with this final one, as neither the Chicago Blackhawks nor the Vancouver Canucks have done much to inspire any sort of confidence of late. Chicago has a losing record on home this season, but I think they edge a close one.
NHL Parlay – Lightning, Avalanche, Golden Knights – Tuesday
The defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning are serving notice that they are not giving up the Stanley Cup without a fight. They are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and will be looking to improve on that when they host the slumping San Jose Sharks.
There is not team hotter in the NHL right now than the Colorado Avalanche, who come into this week on a 10-game win streak. That bubble will burst at some point, but I really don’t see it happening against the lowly Arizona Coyotes.
The Vegas Golden Knights are riding high atop the Pacific Division, but it is a tight battle for supremacy there. They will look to maintain their top spot on Tuesday when they host the Buffalo Sabres, who are just 7-11-4 on the road.
NHL Parlay – Capitals, Islanders, Flames – Wednesday
This is the last round of games before the All-Star Break, so let’s try and close out the first half with a win. The Edmonton Oilers are getting hot again, winning 4 in a row, but I think that comes to an end with a visit to Washington on Wednesday.
The New York Islanders are one of the teams with a lot of games in hand, so their current standing might not be as bad as it looks. They have ground to make up in the Metropolitan, which I think they do with a win over the Seattle Kraken.
Speaking of teams with games in hand, we need to talk about the Calgary Flames. They have been solid of late and are well within reach of the top spot in the Pacific. They should edge a little closer with a win over Arizona.
