The NBA playoffs have begun, and we have already seen some series go a couple of games deep. What that means is that we are going to start seeing the teams that started on the road get a chance to take their turn at home. The burning question at this early stage of the proceedings is whether we will see an upset, or whether all the favorites will move on to love another day. That is what we are going to look at here, as we break down all 8 series to predict how they will play out so you can keep betting against the NBA Playoffs Odds. With that in mind, let’s get to it.
NBA Conferences Series Betting Predictions for the 2022 Playoffs
Eastern Conference Betting Predictions
The Miami Heat had to wait for their Round 1 opponent, with the Atlanta Hawks making it through the Play-In Tournament. The Heat opened the series with a win, which was not that surprising when you consider that they took 3 of 4 from Atlanta this season. I think we are looking at the Heat winning this series in 5 games.
The opening game of the series between the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets was an instant classic, with the Celtics winning via a buzzer beater. I think that game may have set the tone for what promises to be a thrilling series and one that potentially goes the full 7 games. I think the Celtics prevail in 6 games.
The Milwaukee Bucks underwhelmed somewhat in the regular season, but the defending champions looked good in taking down the Bulls in Game 1 of their opening round series. Let’s not forget that the Bucks swept the Bulls in the regular season, so winning this series in 4 or 5 seems probable.
I think we are looking at a potential dark horse in the Philadelphia 76ers, who have come out strong and opened up a 2-0 series lead on the Toronto Raptors. It’s going to be tougher on the road, but I still like Philly to get the series wrapped up in 5 games.
Western Conference Betting Predictions
The Phoenix Suns are looking to go one better than they dis last season after losing in the NBA Finals and are off to a solid enough start. They looked comfortable enough in taking out the Pelicans in Game 1 and I would not be surprised to see this one end in a sweep.
We got our first real surprise of the playoffs when the Minnesota Timberwolves went into Memphis and hammered the Grizzlies in Game 1. That should serve as a wake-up call for the #2 seed, but it’s also not that surprising when you consider that these two teams split their 4-game regular season series. I like Memphis to dig out and win this series in 6 games.
It looked for a minute as though the Denver Nuggets might be about to even up their series against Golden State, but the Warriors got hot in the 2nd half of Game 2 and now head to Denver up 2-0. I still think Golden State can step up a gear and I like them to close this one out in 5.
While Dallas dropped a game at home and head to Utah with the series tied at 1-1, they did that without Doncic in the lineup. They should get him back sooner rather than later, which could prove to be the difference in this series. I am taking the Mavericks to win in 7.
