Week 17 brings us quite a few games with playoff implications. We have a few teams that are in must-win situations. Let’s preview the quarterback matchups for each game on the Week 17 slate, and we’ll also give you our NFL Betting predictions for each game as well.
Who’ll Win the Quarterback Matchups in Week 17? | NFL Lines & Betting Predictions
Dallas Cowboys (-9.5) @ Tennessee Titans – Thursday Night
Dallas is coming off of a huge victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Dak Prescott played a great game. Malik Willis hasn’t been good in the absence of Ryan Tannehill. Dallas wins the game, but won’t cover the spread.
Arizona Cardinals @ Atlanta Falcons (-3.5)
If it wasn’t for bad luck, the Arizona Cardinals wouldn’t have any luck at all. Trace McSorley has struggled since taking over for the Cardinals. Desmond Ridder hasn’t been much better. Atlanta wins this one by a touchdown.
Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions (-5)
Detroit had made a great run, but that was ended by the Carolina Panthers. Jared Goff has been playing well. Justin Fields was held in check by the Buffalo Bills last week. The Bears defense just isn’t good enough to stop Detroit. The Lions win and cover.
Jacksonville Jaguars (-4) @ Houston Texans
Trevor Lawrence is leading Jacksonville on a playoff surge. Davis Mills led the Texans to a big upset over the Tennessee Titans. Jacksonville knows that they must win out in order to win the AFC South. They continue with their winning ways and beat Houston by 10 points.
Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)
Nathaniel Hackett is gone, and most Bronco fans wish that Russell Wilson was as well. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are still in the running for the top spot in the AFC Playoffs. The Chiefs destroy the Broncos, further embarrassing the Denver organization.
Miami Dolphins (-1.5) @ New England Patriots
Miami is on a four-game losing streak, and Tua Tagovailoa was placed in the NFL concussion protocol. Mac Jones and the Patriots nearly upset Cincinnati. Miami gets back on the winning track and beats New England by a field goal.
Indianapolis Colts @ New York Giants (-3)
We’re not sure if Nick Foles is the answer, but for now, he’s the starting quarterback for Indianapolis. Daniel Jones played well in a heartbreaking last-second loss to the Vikings last week. The Giants know that they can’t afford a loss, and they win by a touchdown.
New Orleans Saints @ Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5)
We’re not sure if Gardner Minshew will start, or if Jalen Hurts will return for Philadelphia. Andy Dalton continues to lead the Saints. Philly wins and covers.
Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-4.5)
A win by Tom Brady and the Bucs will clinch the NFC South. Ever since Sam Darnold won the starting job in Carolina, the Panthers have been surging. We think the Panthers make the division race interesting by beating Tampa.
Cleveland Browns @ Washington Commanders (-2.5)
Despite losing to San Francisco, the Commanders still hold the final playoff spot in the NFC. Will we see Carson Wentz again, or will Ron Rivera go back to Taylor Heinicke? Deshaun Watson has been awful since returning. The Washington defense will take it to Watson. The Commanders win easily.
San Francisco 49ers (-6) @ Las Vegas Raiders
Brock Purdy and the Niners keep on rolling along. Derek Carr and the Raiders are so inconsistent. The Niners win and cover in this one.
New York Jets @ Seattle Seahawks (-1)
We have no idea who will be under center for the Jets. Geno Smith’s magic seems to have worn out in Seattle. Both need this one to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot. Seattle beats New York to stay alive in the playoff race.
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers (-3)
Just a few weeks ago, the season seemed to be over for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Kirk Cousins just keeps finding ways to win for Minnesota. We don’t know who will win this one, but we’re taking Minnesota regardless.
Los Angeles Rams @ Los Angeles Chargers (-7)
Baker Mayfield has brought some life back to the Rams. Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense just can’t seem to get things going. The Chargers win, but won’t cover.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) – Sunday Night
Baltimore has already clinched a playoff spot, so we may not see Lamar Jackson yet. Tyler Huntley will more than likely get the start. Kenny Pickett gets better each week. Baltimore wins the game, but won’t cover.
Buffalo Bills (-1) @ Cincinnati Bengals – Monday Night
Josh Allen and the Bills keep on winning, and know they have to in order to keep the top playoff spot in the AFC. Joe Burrow and the Bengals are in the hunt for that top spot. A win here would be huge for their playoff seeding. The Bengals upset the Bills on Monday night.
