Power Rankings for the 1st Week of the 2024 NFL Season | NFL Betting MyBookie Sportsbook
2023 NFL season | 104th season of National Football League in the United States
September 7, 2023–February 11, 2024
Power Rankings for the 1st NFL Week
Ever since the end of the NFL Draft, we have been waiting and waiting for the start of the season to get here.
Now that we are less than a month from training camp, it would be a good time to take a look at the most up to date power rankings in the National Football League.
Here are our Week 1 Power Rankings:
Kansas City Chiefs
The back to back Super Bowl Champions are at the top of the list for a reason.
Xavier Worthy is now part of the offense.
Patrick Mahomes is still under center. Andy Reid is still the head coach.
We’ve dissected the draft, analyzed free agency moves, and debated power rankings all offseason.
But now, it’s time to see which teams translate their potential into on-field dominance.
San Francisco 49ers
With two trips to the Super Bowl in three seasons it is hard to say anyone else is ahead of them.
The 49ers grabbed Ricky Pearsall, a speedy option that could certainly play a big role.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens were the best team in the league during the regular season.
A very safe draft, along with some sneaky good off-season moves.
Derrick Henry is going to be part of this offense.
Detroit Lions
The Lions round out the final four in the rankings, as they went to the NFC title game a season ago.
Amon-Ra St. Brown is still the main man in the offense.
It will be fun to continue following Jared Goff’s progression in the league.
Houston Texans
CJ Stroud is back for his second season under center.
He has all sorts of weapons now with the addition of Stefon Diggs via a trade.
This is going to be a fun offense to run lead by head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles did not finish the season as the sixth best team in the league, but still moved into that spot to start the 2024 season.
Jalen Hurts still has great weapons, and they grabbed Cooper DeJean to help with some explosiveness in the offense.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills did not seem to have any sadness about letting their top receiving threat go to Houston.
Diggs is no longer in the mix im Buffalo, now it is Keon Coleman, who will be a target for Josh Allen.
Allen and his teammates know a ton is on the line this season in northern New York.
Cincinnati Bengals
Another AFC team sliding into the Top 10 if the NFL Power Rankings.
A season after reaching the Super Bowl, the Bengals ran into all sorts of injury problems a season ago.
Jermaine Burton is going to play a big role in the offense led by quarterback Joe Burrow.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys will be a good team again in 2024. Are they a great team?
Can they push the needle and get over the hump and get to a Super Bowl?
There are a ton of questions about that, but for now, they want to see improvement throughout the team in 2024.
Miami Dolphins
The sixth AFC team to reach the Top 10 of the NFL Power Rankings.
The offense a season ago was unstoppable.
Will anyone be able to slow them down this season?
The Dolphins ran into some major health issues at the end of last season slowing down for a first round loss.
Green Bay Packers
Can Green Bay keep Jordan Love on his feet and protect their biggest key of the season?
Love had a great first season. Can he do it again? year?
The NFC North is going to be better than previous seasons, so the Packers will need to make sure they are ready from the start.
Los Angeles Chargers
Coach Harbaugh is the new leader of the Los Angeles Chargers.
This is going to be a new-look Chargers team, but everything needed change after the last couple seasons.
It will be fun to see the Chargers competing out of the AFC West.
Pittsburgh Steelers
With the Steelers coming in at 14, the entire AFC North has been represented in the Top 14.
The Steelers are going to continue to be physical and grind the football.
Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are both on the roster, so a quarterback competition is not the worst thing in the Steel City.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars showed their franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence that they had faith in him.
Now, he needs to show the league he is worth it.
The Jaguars used a first round pick to get Brian Thomas Jr.
He is going to be tough to contain in this league.
Chicago Bears
The Bears round out the top half of the NFL Power Rankings. Caleb Williams is in at quarterback.
He has new names Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen to throw the ball to. He has D’Andre Swift to run the football.
This is going to be a fun Chicago Bears team to watch in 2024.
Rest of the Rest:
Here is the rest of the National Football League power rankings for Week 1 of the NFL season.
This list will certainly change some once training camps get going in full speed, but this is a pretty consistent list with others around the league:
Atlanta Falcons
Los Angeles Rams
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Minnesota Vikings
Indianapolis Colts
Las Vegas Raiders
New York Jets
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
Seattle Seahawks
Arizona Cardinals
Tennessee Titans
Denver Broncos
Washington Commanders
New England Patriots
Carolina Panthers

2023 NFL Week 1 Power Rankings Analysis
Previous Betting News
It was not a good week to be a Super Bowl favorite, with many of the supposed big guns going down hard in Week 1 of the NFL season. If we have learned anything over the years, though, it’s that we should not get too up or down based on the results of a single game. Teams that lost in the opening week will recover, while surprise winners will likely fold and find their true level as the season progresses. All of that aside, the results from Week 1 have had an impact on the Power Rankings, so let’s take a look to consider in your NFL betting.
NFL 2023 Power Rankings of the Week 2 | NFL Odds, American Football NFL Lines by MyBookie Sportsbook
San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy’s arm looks fine, and the 49ers very much looked a complete team in an opening week blowout of the Steelers on the road.
Philadelphia Eagles
It was perhaps a little more difficult than a lot of people expected, but the Eagles found a way to win against the Patriots.
Jacksonville Jaguars
There were certainly times when the Jags did not look great on offense, yet they still managed to put up 31 points. Look out when this offense starts to click.
Kansas City Chiefs
The defending Super Bowl champions lost at home, but I imagine they will be fine as soon as they get Travis Kelce back in the lineup.
Dallas Cowboys
We figured the defense would be good this season, which they were in a shutout win, but the Cowboys looked like a complete package in Week 1.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens struggled at times against a weak Texans team, but they still got the win, although losing JK Dobbins for the season is a major blow.
Cleveland Browns
Their win over the Bengals in the season opener may well serve as proof that the AFC North might be a coin flip this season.
Miami Dolphins
If they can keep Tua healthy all season long, we might see some great things from this Dolphins team, although they are going to need to tighten up on defense.
Green Bay Packers
It was the ideal way to begin life as the starter for Jordan Love, but you do have to say that the defense looked solid too in a win over the Bears.
Detroit Lions
One of the sexy dark horse picks for the season, the Lions lived up to the hype by going into KC and beating the Chiefs. Still a long way to go, though.
New York Jets
Beating the Bills should have this team higher on the list, but potentially losing Aaron Rodgers for the season will keep them grounded for now.
Buffalo Bills
You simply cannot excuse a Super Bowl favorite for losing to a team that lost their starting QB in the opening drive of the game. Are the Bills in trouble?
Cincinnati Bengals
Missing the preseason may have hurt Joe Burrow more than expected, but no panic in Cincy just yet.
Washington Commanders
It’s always good to get a Week 1 win, but the Commanders will need to be a whole lot better moving forward.
Los Angeles Chargers
This team won’t have any problems scoring, but if the D can’t hold up their end of the bargain, it could be a long season.
New Orleans Saints
Yes, it just 1 game, but Derek Carr looked solid as the starter for the Saints.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Not much expected from this team in 2023, but a road win against Minnesota is a very solid start.
Pittsburgh Steelers
All that preseason hype may have died with a horrible showing in Week 1.
Atlanta Falcons
They looked good on the ground, but I’m still not sold on Ridder at QB.
LA Rams
Another team expected to struggle got an unexpected win on the road in Seattle.
Seattle Seahawks
Nothing went well for this team in their home opener. Was Geno Smith a 1-season wonder?
NY Giants
There was nothing positive to take from their blowout loss to the Cowboys.
Tennessee Titans
It was a nightmare start to the season for Ryan Tannehill, who threw 3 INTs.
Minnesota Vikings
With the Eagles up next, Minnesota is looking down the barrel of an 0-2 start.
Las Vegas Raiders
A good start to the year with a road win in Denver, but we are not getting carried away.
Denver Broncos
While efficient, Russell Wilson and the Broncos did not have many chunk plays.
New England Patriots
It took the offense some time to get going, but it was ultimately a Week 1 loss.
Carolina Panthers
Not a great start for rookie Bryce Young, but that was to be expected.
Indianapolis Colts
Some bright spots for their rookie QB, but a loss is still a loss.
Chicago Bears
This is a team that looked bad on both sides of the football in Week 1.
Houston Texans
Things were as bad as expected. Enough said.
Arizona Cardinals
No Kyler Murray and no real hope for the season, which promises to be a long one for the Cardinals.

NFL 2023 Power Rankings Week 1 Betting Preview
Previous Betting News
We are now just a matter of days away from the start of the 2023 NFL season, with the opening game of the year set to go on Thursday night. By this point, we have all pretty much decided who we think might win the Super Bowl, or at least make a deep run into the postseason. Chances are that a lot of us are going to be wrong with our NFL betting predictions, so it is going to be fun to see how things change as the season progresses. One way to keep track of things is to look at the weekly NFL Power Rankings, as those give us some idea of where each team stands and how things might go. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the top and bottom 5 teams on the Power Rankings as we wait for Week 1 to begin.
Power Rankings for the 1st Week of the 2023 NFL Season | 2023 NFL Betting MyBookie Sportsbook
2023 NFL season | 104th season of National Football League in the United States
September 7, 2023–February 11, 2024
Power Rankings NFL | Top 5
1. Kansas City Chiefs
It’s never a surprise to see the defending Super Bowl champion as the #1 team in the nation heading into the new season. The Chiefs look loaded again and always have a shot at winning with Patrick Mahomes under center. They are, once again, the team to beat.
2. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles took a massive step forward last season, going all the way to the Super Bowl before eventually losing to the Chiefs. The Eagles come in as the favorite to win the NFC, but we have seen Super Bowl losers struggle the following season. Will that happen here?
3. Buffalo Bills
Over the past few seasons, the Buffalo Bills have very much been in the Super Bowl conversation, but they have continually come up a little short. Their window of opportunity is still wide open, so look for them to be in the mix once again.
4. Cincinnati Bengals
The AFC North looks as though it might be tough this season, but the bookies still like the Bengals to be the class of that division. This is another team that has to be considered a good bet to make a deep run.
5. San Francisco 49ers
Somewhat by luck, the 49ers found their starting QB last season, with Brock Purdy coming from out of nowhere to win the starting job. This team is loaded and should be the biggest threat to the Eagles in the NFC.

Power Rankings NFL | Bottom 5
28. Indianapolis Colts
After a few years of trying their luck with veteran QBs, with zero success, the Colts are looking at a rookie QB as their potential starter. Expect there to be some growing pains and tough spots.
29. LA Rams
A short couple of seasons after winning the Super Bowl, the Rams are in full rebuild mode and looking down the barrel of what could be a long season. Not a lot ot look forward to in LA right now.
30. Houston Texans
There are some who believe that the Texans might be a bit of a surprise package this season, but they are starting from close to the bottom in the eyes of the pundits. The only way is up, I suppose.
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After a couple of great seasons with Tom Brady and a Super Bowl championship, it’s rebuilding time for the Buccaneers.
32. Arizona Cardinals
Yet another team looking to build from the ground up, which is a process that usually takes some time. Things might be about to get worse in the desert before they get better.
