After winning 10 games and reaching the playoffs in what was supposed to be another year of rebuilding, Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks will enter the 2019 season with loftier expectations, even of they’re mostly coming from themselves. You see, despite the fact that Seattle played to the best of their capabilities and surprised in many ways a year ago, the Seahawks are not among the top favorites to either reach or win Super Bowl 54 this coming campaign.
With the 14th best odds to win Super Bowl 54, oddsmakers everywhere are apparently expecting the Seahawks to be closer to average than anywhere near elite. Still, with one of the best quarterbacks in the game today, along with one of the most respected head coaches in Pete Carroll, the Seahawks are set to challenge the best teams in the league in 2019.
If you’re an NFL fan and betting enthusiast that wants to know just how many games Seattle is going to win this coming season in an effort to cash in on the value-packed NFL Win Total Odds, then you’ve come to the right place!
Thanks to the expert NFL predictions that you’re about to get on each and every game on Seattle’s upcoming 2019 docket, you’re going to have a great idea of just how many games the Seattle will win this coming season.
The Seahawks finished the 2018 regular season ranked a league-leading first in rushing while also ranking eighth in scoring (26.8 ppg). Defensively, Seattle finished a respectable 11th in points allowed (21.7 ppg) despite finishing 17th against the pass and 15th in total defense.
To address their offseason needs, the Seahawks drafted TCU defensive end L.J. Collier with the 29t overall pick before adding Utah safety Marquise Blair in the second round and super athletic ole Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf in the third round.
Seattle also re-signed star linebacker K.J. Wright, fellow linebacker Mychal Kendricks and guard D.J. Faulkner while adding veteran guard Mike Iupati and kicker Jason Myers in free agency.
Seattle Seahawks 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction
Week 1 vs Cincinnati
I have no doubt that Seattle is going to cruise to victory over a Cincinnati team that will be playing its first official game under new and inexperienced head coach Zac Taylor. Win. 1-0.
Week 2 at Pittsburgh
Despite being on the road, Seattle wins because they’ve got the better defense – and quarterback. I’m also expecting Pittsburgh and Ben Roethlisberger are both going to need a few weeks of regular season action to adjust to life without the mercurial, but gifted Antonio Brown. Win. 2-0.
Week 3 vs New Orleans
There aren’t many quarterbacks in the game better than Russell Wilson, but Drew Brees is one of them. I’m feeling a Saints narrow road win in Week 3 as New Orleans gets it done in a field goal finish. Loss. 2-1.
Week 4 at Arizona
The Seahawks recorded a pair of three-points win over an awful Cardinals team a year ago. I’m thinking Seattle narrowly avoids an upset road loss against Kyler Murray and the revamped Cards. Win. 3-1.
Week 5 vs LA Rams
The Seahawks were swept by the Rams a year ago, including a crushing 33-31 home loss in Week 5. This time around, Seattle gets it done by getting all up in Jared Goff’s scared-looking face. Win. 4-1.Week 6 at Cleveland
I’m expecting to see an even more improved version of the Browns in 2019 than the one we saw a year ago, but Seattle has the better quarterback, head coach and defense in this Week 6 inter-conference clash. Win. 5-1.
Week 7 vs Baltimore
Baltimore puts up a big-time fight, but the Seahawks narrowly prevail in a low-scoring thriller because of the big edge they have at home in CenturyLink Field. Win. 6-1.
Week 8 at Atlanta
I’ve got the Falcons narrowly falling at home in Week 8 as Seattle crams the ball down Atlanta’s collective throats, seeing as how the Falcons finished an uninspiring 25th against the run a year ago. Win. 7-1.
Week 9 Tampa Bay
Jameis Winston tosses at least two picks and Tampa Bay falls because…well….Winston isn’t Russell Wilson. Win. 8-1.
Week 10 at San Francisco
This looks like a game that Seattle should win, but they won’t. After losing to Frisco 26-23 in overtime a year ago, Seattle falls again with a head-scratching performance, no less. Loss, 8-2.
Week 11 BYE
Week 12 at Philadelphia
Carson Wentz and the Eagles will use this Week 12 matchup as a litmus test to find out just how good they really are, but I’ve got the Birds narrowly falling at home as Russell Wilson makes a few more plays than Wentz to lead Seattle to the narrow, field goal victory. Win. 9-2.
Week 13 vs Minnesota
I just don’t see Kirk Cousins getting it done against Seattle’s defense while Russell Wilson makes a few more plays to help the Seahawks get the super narrow home win. 10-2.
Week 14 at LA Rams
The Rams extract some revenge for their Week 5 road loss to Seattle. Loss. 10-3.
Week 15 at Carolina
Russell Wilson outplays Cam Newton and some desperation leads Seattle to the narrow road win. 11-3.
Week 16 vs Arizona
The Seahawks complete the sweep over the Cardinals to improve their playoff positioning. 12-3.
Week 17 vs San Francisco
Seattle extracts some revenge for their Week 10 road loss to the Niners. Win. 13-3.
While the 13 wins I’ve got Seattle recording in 2019 might be a bit on the high side, I definitely like the Seahawks to top their 8.5 win total odds with ease in 2019. Even if the Seahawks lose what looks like close contests against Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Minnesota and Philadelphia, they’ll still finish with 9 wins. I’m actually a bit stunned that Seattle’s total is so low seeing as how they won 10 games a year ago and once again, made a series of smart moves in free agency and the NFL Draft. Play the Over with confidence!
