Most notably, the Minnesota Vikings are sure to be reeling after losing rookie QB JJ McCarthy for the season with a torn meniscus.

You can only hope that players make it through the preseason with injury, but chances are that this will not be the last such situation.

Saturday NFL Preseason Picks
The majority of the Week 3 games come on Saturday, starting with the Atlanta Falcons on the road in Baltimore. The Ravens are favored by 1, with the total set at 35 ½.
The Bears, who are unbeaten, will host the Cincinnati Bengals, who hit Chicago as a 6-point underdog. The total for this one is 36 ½.
The New York Giants will head south to Face the Houston Texans, with the home team favored by 2 points. The total for this game is set at 39 ½.
The defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs will host the Detroit Lions and start as a 7-point favorite, with the total set at 39.
The battle for QB1 in Minnesota will start when the Vikings hit the road to face the Cleveland Browns, with the home team favored by 4 ½. The total for this one is 36 ½.
The Tennessee Titans will be at home on Saturday night and will welcome in the Seattle Seahawks. This one is a PK play, with the total sitting at 35.
The Arizona Cardinals will go on the road with a trip to Indianapolis to face the Colts, who are favored by 2 ½. The total for this one is set at 37.
The Washington Commanders will take on the Dolphins in Miami and are currently listed as a 4 ½ point underdog, with the total for this one set at 37 ½.
We have a good one next, with the Bills and Steelers set to square off in Pittsburgh. The Steelers are a 4-point home favorite, with the total set at 36.

It’s a battle of the LA teams, with the Rams and Chargers set to lock horns. The Chargers are a modest 1-point favorite, with the total set at 33 ½.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be on the road to face the Jacksonville Jaguars and will start as a 2 ½ point dog. The total here is set at 37.
The final game of the night has the Dallas Cowboys heading to Sin City to face the Las Vegas Raiders as a 6 ½ point underdog, with the total at 39 ½.

Cleveland should give Deshaun Watson playing time in this game, which will give the Browns the edge. Watson will want to get on the same page with his receivers in a game time situation. The Eagles don’t require as much work because Jalen Hurts, his receivers, and Philly’s offensive line are already on the same page.

Gardner Minshew went 6-for-6 in the Colts’ first game. So if Richardson isn’t ready for the season, Minshew will be. As far as this game is concerned, the Bears won’t go all out in a road match while Minshew and Richardson, one of them, figures to get a lot of playing time. Colts win and cover.

This will be an excellent game, but Denver should win and cover because Shanahan won’t take the chance of his quarterbacks, or defensive stars, getting hurt.
