William Zepeda vs. Maxi Hughes Online Boxing Betting, Analysis and Picks

On Saturday, undefeated William Zepeda is a huge favorite over popular Maxi Hughes in an IBF and WBA Lightweight Title eliminator. Zepeda is the -900 chalk to make it to a title bout. Hughes, though, won’t be an easy out. Also on Saturday, Erik Robles Ayala takes on Liam Davies and Nathan Heaney is the favorite against Brad Pauls. Which pugilists step out the ring winners? Check out boxing odds, analysis, and free picks for five of this Saturday’s top matches.

Bet On Boxing: Zepeda Takes on Hughes in Title Eliminator | MyBookie Boxing Betting Analysis of the Top Weekend Bouts

Erik Robles Ayala vs Liam Davies

Boxing Bets Online: Erik Robles Ayala +180 vs Liam Davies -260
Junior Featherweights
Birmingham, England at ESPN+

15-0 Liam Davies is the favorite because of his fantastic boxing skills. Davies also has some power as evidenced by his 7 stoppage wins. In his last, Davies ended Vincenzo La Femina’s night, La Femina was 13-0 at the time, in the fifth round.

But although Davis should be the favorite, he offers low odds to beat a boxer of Erik Robles Ayala’s quality. Ayala’s lone loss came in 23020. The +180 dog has won 15 bouts. He’s also trained and fought strong competition in Mexico. Give the underdog a chance.

Live Boxing Betting: Erik Robles Ayala

Zach Parker vs Tyron Zeuge

Boxing Bets Online: Zach Parker -650 vs Tyron Zeuge +375
Super Middleweights
Birmingham, England at ESPN+

Tyron Zeuge has a terrific 27-1-1 record. But before you run to the windows with your mortgage money to dump it on Zeuge, consider a couple of things. First, the lone loss came via knockout. Second, Zeuge has fought primarily in his native Germany.

Zach Parker also has a loss. But the 23 fight winner’s defeat came against Jon Ryder, one of the better boxers in the division. Parker makes quick work of Zeuge. So go under or look for KO prop before backing Zach on the moneyline.

Live Boxing Betting: Zach Parker

Dennis McCann vs Brad Strand

Boxing Bets Online: Dennis McCann -300 vs Brad Strand +200
Junior Featherweights
Birmingham, England at ESPN+

McCann versus Strand should be one of Saturday’s more competitive bouts. The underdog, that’s Strand, is 11-0. Brad, though, doesn’t have much pop because he’s ended just 3 opponents’ nights before the final bell.

McCann is 14-0-1 with 8 knockout victories. Strand will try to box his way to a decision win. It won’t work.

Live Boxing Betting: Dennis McCann

Nathan Heaney vs Brad Pauls

Boxing Bets Online: Nathan Heaney -190 vs Brad Pauls +210
Heaney’s British Middleweight Title
Birmingham, England at ESPN+

The favorite in this, Heaney, boasts a terrific 19-0 record. Heaney has won 6 of the 19 via stoppage. Nathan has won his last 2, 1 of the wins came versus Denzel Bentley, via decision.

Brad Pauls is 18-1 with 10 knockout wins. Since the loss to Tyler Denny, Paul has bounced back victories against Patryk Polasik and Mitchell Frearson. Beating Heaney won’t be easy, but Paul can get it done.

Live Boxing Betting: Brad Pauls

William Zepeda vs Maxi Hughes

Boxing Bets Online: William Zepeda -900 vs Maxi Hughes +475
IBF and WBA Lightweight Title Eliminator
Las Vegas – DAZN

In Saturday’s most high profile bout, Maxi Hughes is a close to 5-to-1 underdog. Hughes is 26-6-2 and has fought great in his last few bouts. But on Saturday night, Hughes takes on an undefetaed master pugilist. Not only is Zepeda 29-0, but he’s won 25-of-29 via stoppage. The chalk won’t let the chance of fighting for a tiltle slip away. Back Zepeda to end the bout before the final bell.

Live Boxing Betting: William Zepeda

2024 Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou

Previous Betting News

This weekend’s top boxing events happen in a fantastic card in Saudi Arabia. Francis Ngannou almost shocked the world when he lost a split-decision to Tyson Fury in his first professional boxing bout. On Saturday night, Ngannou takes on former champ Anthony Joshua in what should be an epic match. Before Joshua and Ngannou throw down, Nick Ball battles Rey Vargas and Zhilei Zhang takes on Joseph Parker for title straps. Keep reading for boxing odds, analysis, and free picks for five of Friday night’s top matches in Saudi Arabia.

Bet On Boxing: Joshua Takes on Ngannou in Saudi Arabia + WBC Featherweight and WBO Interim Heavyweight Titles Bouts | MyBookie Boxing Betting Analysis of the Top Weekend Bouts

Justis Huni vs Kevin Lerena

Boxing Bets Online: Justis Huni -325 vs Kevin Lerena +210
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Pay Per View

Based on his record, Kevin Lerena should have a shot in this. The +210 choice is 30-2 with 14 stoppage victories. But Lerena has done most of his fighting in South Africa where the boxing gyms aren’t on par with what you find in the U.S. and UK.

Huni is a British boxer with an 8-0 record and 4 knockouts. Huni can beat you with his feet or his power punching. Also, Lerena has suffered a KO loss.

Live Boxing Betting: Justis Huni

Mark Chamberlain vs Gavin Gwynne

Boxing Bets Online: Mark Chamberlain -300 vs Gavin Gwynne +200
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Pay Per View

Gwynne is a 33 year old veteran boxer with a terrific 17-2-1 record. Gwynne has scored 5 stoppage wins from those 17 victories. Also, he’s suffered just a single knockout loss.

But although Gwynne will have some moments in this, he won’t beat Mark Chamberlain. The much younger boxer, Chamberlain is 24, is 14-0 with 10 stoppage victories. This one should end before the final bell.

Live Boxing Betting: Mark Chamberlain

Nick Ball -190 vs Rey Vargas +145

Boxing Bets Online: Nick Ball -190 vs Rey Vargas +145
WBC Featherweight Title
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Pay Per View

Nick Ball has the record. He’s 19-0. Ball also has some power having knocked out 11 of his opponents. But Ball hasn’t come close to facing a monster like Rey Vargas.

Up until his last, a 12-round unanimous decision loss to champion O’Shaquie Foster, Vargas had boasted a 36-0 undefeated record. Vargas can throw. He can box. He has power. He also experience that Ball doesn’t possess. The underdog in this is the play.

Live Boxing Betting: Rey Vargas

Zhilei Zhang vs Joseph Parker

Boxing Bets Online: Zhilei Zhang -250 vs Joseph Parker +175
WBO Interim Heavyweight Title
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Pay Per View

26-1-1 Zhilei Zhang also boasts 21 stoppage victories. The -250 favorite in this comes off back-to-back victories over Joe Joyce. However, although Zhang looked great in both bouts, it’s tough to back the chalk. Zhang is 40 years old. Eventually, age will catch up with him.

Parker is younger at 32. He’s also a much different fighter than Joyce and the underdog took it to Deontay Wilder in the last, using his boxing skills to keep Wilder off his game. The +175 choice prevails.

Live Boxing Betting: Joseph Parker

Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou

Boxing Bets Online: Anthony Joshua -600 vs Francis Ngannou +350
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Pay Per View

27-3 with 24 knockout victories, Anthony Joshua should be the -600 favorite to beat Francis Ngannou. But although Joshua comes off back-to-back decision losses against the world’s top heavyweight, Oleksander Usyk, it doesn’t mean he easily dispatches of Ngannou.

Joshua’s chin remains suspect and Ngannou has great boxing skills. One of the things Ngannou did on an expert level against Fury was cut off the ring. Joshua will struggle to stay away from Francis. Also, Francis has a ridiculous chin. Give Ngannou the nod in what should be a close bout.

Live Boxing Betting: Francis Ngannou

Duke Ragan vs Brandon Valdes

Boxing Lines: Duke Ragan -300; Brandon Valdes +200

Saturday, March 2nd, 2024
Verona, New York

Duke Ragan has a decent 9-0 record. The problem with backing Ragan is that he shows a single stoppage in the 9 victories.

Brandon Valdes is a replacement but that doesn’t mean he can’t win this. Valdes is 15-4 with 7 stoppage victories. Ah, but Valdes has already signed for his next bout. That’s never a good sign.

Otabek Kholmatov vs Raymond Ford

Boxing Lines: Otabek Kholmatov -150; Raymond Ford +120
IBF Featherweight Title

Saturday, March 2nd, 2024
Verona, New York

Slight underdog Raymond Ford has a dynamite record. Ford is 14-0-1 with 7 stoppage wins. Raymond has developed so well that in his last, he beat veteran Jessie Magdaleno via 12-round unanimous decision.

Heading into the bout, Magdaleno was 29-1. So Ford’s victory was a massive step forward in his career.

Versus Kholmatov, Ford could take a backward step. Otabek is 12-0 with 11 stoppage wins. The man has power and boxing ability. Still, Ford’s win over Magdaleno can’t be ignored.

Luis Alberto Lopez vs Reiya Abe

Boxing Lines: Luis Alberto Lopez -850; Reiya Abe +450
IBF Featherweight Title

Saturday, March 2nd, 2024
Verona, New York

If Reiya Abe hopes to pull off the upset win, he’s going to have to pull out all the stops. First, let’s discuss Abe’s true chances. The +450 underdog boasts a decent 25-3-1 record with 10 stoppage wins.

Abe is one of those well-schooled boxers from Japan. He knows how to throw and he’s got a decent chin.

But on Saturday, he faces the boxing champ with the most unique style in the sport. Luis Alberto Lopez created a style that no fighter, even boxers like Michael Conlan and Joet Gonzalez, have yet to figure out. LAL wins.

Jonathan Gonzalez vs Rene Santiago

Boxing Lines: Jonathan Gonzalez -650; Rene Santiago +375
WBO Junior Flyweight Title

Saturday, March 2nd, 2024
DAZN Puerto Rico

12-3 Rene Santiago not only has knocked out 9 of his opponents, but he’s also never lost other than via decision. Because of that, Santiago is getting some love at the respectable +375 odds.

Jonathan Gonzalez is 27-3-1 with 14 stoppage wins. Gonzalez has stopped 14 of his opponents before the final bell. However, all 3 of Gonzalez’s losses have come via stoppage. Santiago can pull off the upset win.

Jonathan Gonzalez vs Rene Santiago

Jake Paul vs Ryan Thomas Bourland

Boxing Lines: Jake Paul -1500; Ryan Thomas Bourland

Saturday, March 2nd, 2024
DAZN Puerto Rico

Since a February 26, 2023, loss to Tommy Fury, Jake Paul has won twice, beating Nate Diaz in a grudge match and dominating then 10-1-1 Andre August via a first round knockout.

Ryan Thomas Bourland is 17-2. Bourland has a good record and he has some power by knocking out 6 of his opponents. But Bourland was pumping oil on a rig before taking this fight. So he’s handpicked for sure. Look for a KO prop for Jake to end this early.

DAZN: Dean Dodge vs. Aqib Fiaz

Odds: Dean Dodge +602 – Aqib Fiaz -1428
Record: Dean Dodge 9-2-1 – Aqib Fiaz 10-0-0
When: Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm ET
Where: M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool, England

29-year-old Dean Dodge is 9-2-1 with 3 knockout wins and a knockout loss. Dodge heads into this on a 2-match losing streak. Dodge fell to then 11-0-1 DP Carr in 2021 and lost to Reece Bellotti via seventh round TKO in 2022.

Aqib Fiaz is 10-0. But Fiaz hasn’t won a single bout via stoppage. Fiaz should pile up the points. Still, Dodge has some power. Dean gets it done if he catches Aqib with a power shot, or if he works Fiaz’s body.

Boxing Pick: Dean Dodge | Bet Dean Dodge vs. Aqib Fiaz Today

DAZN: Diego Pacheco vs. Jack Cullen

Odds: Diego Pacheco -2500 – Jack Cullen +755
Record: Diego Pacheco 17-0-0 – Jack Cullen 21-3-1
When: Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm ET
Where: M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool, England

Cullen won his last bout when beating Vladimir Belujsky via decision. Pacheco is a much tougher opponent, though. Undefeated Diego Pacheco has won 14 of his 17 bouts via stoppage.

Last September, Pacheco finished Enrique Collazo’s night in the fifth. Diego followed up that victory by ending Ricardo Adrian Luna’s night in the second in a December fight.

Cullen has suffered 3 stoppage losses. He won’t last long in this. So look for a knockout prop.

Boxing Pick: Diego Pacheco | Bet Diego Pacheco vs. Jack Cullen Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Boxing Fights

Showtime: Ben Mahoney vs. Koen Mazoudier

Odds: Ben Mahoney -166 – Koen Mazoudier +120
Record: Ben Mahoney 11-2-0 – Koen Mazoudier 13-0-0
When: Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:45 pm ET
Where: Qudos Bank Arena, New South Wales, Australia

13-0 Ben Mahoney has won 7 of his fights via TKO or KO. Mahoney isn’t a massive favorite in his bout against Koen Mazoudier.

The +120 underdog is 11-2 with 4 stoppage wins. Mazoudier is on a 3-match winning streak. During the streak, the dog in this beat Joel Camilleri twice via split-decision.

In his last, Mazoudier bested Wade Ryan via eight round unanimous decision. Koen is a good boxer. But Ben has way more power. Mahoney wins.

Boxing Pick: Ben Mahoney | Bet Ben Mahoney vs. Koen Mazoudier Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Boxing Fights

Showtime: TJ Doheny vs. Sam Goodman

Odds: TJ Doheny +275 – Sam Goodman -434
Record: TJ Doheny 23-3-0 – Sam Goodman 13-0-0
When: Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:45 pm ET
Where: Qudos Bank Arena, New South Wales, Australia

Underdog TJ “The Power” Doheny is 23-3. TJ is a tough boxer. He’s stopped 17 of his opponents before the final bell.

But on Saturday, Doheny is up against it versus Sam Goodman. The chalk in this is 13-0 with 7 knockout or technical knockout wins. Also, Doheny has lost 3 of his last 5.

But before jumping all over Sam, it’s important to note that Goodman hasn’t faced a boxer close to Doheny’s skill level. The odds make the underdog more than playable.

Boxing Pick: TJ Doheny | Bet TJ Doheny vs. Sam Goodman Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Boxing Fights

WBO Jr. Middleweight Interim Title: Tim Tszyu vs. Tony Harrison

Odds: Tim Tszyu -303 – Tony Harrison +203
Record: Tim Tszyu 21-0-0 – Tony Harrison 29-3-1
When: Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:45 pm ET
Where: Qudos Bank Arena, New South Wales, Australia

29-3-1 with 21 stoppage victories, Tony Harrison can for sure win this bout. Harrison is a terrific boxer with excellent power.

But Tony fell via knockout to Jermell Charlo in 2019 and then drew against Bryant Perella in 2021. In his lone 2022 bout, Harrison won a unanimous decision against Sergio Garcia.

Tszyu is 21-0 with 15 knockout or technical knockout wins. Tim can beat you with power or using his boxing skills. Harrison hasn’t fought enough in the past 4 years to challenge Tszyu in this. The favorite prevails.

Top 2023 Boxing Lines: Ramirez Takes On Rosado in Saturday’s Highlight Fight

Previous Betting News

Gilberto Ramirez takes on Gabriel Rosado in Saturday’s most discussed boxing match. We handicap the total instead of putting money behind Gilberto at -5000. Also on Saturday, we make picks for Joseph Diaz Jr. versus Mercito Gesta. See below for odds, analysis, and free picks for six of this Saturday’s top boxing matches.

Check out odds, analysis, and free picks for Jono Carroll versus Miguel Marriaga, Jarrell Miller against Lucas Browne, and three other fantastic boxing matches happening on March 18.

Boxing Events: Ramirez Takes On Rosado in Saturday’s Highlight Fight

Boxing Events: Saturday, March 18

Jono Carroll vs. Miguel Marriaga

Boxing Odds: Jono Carroll -833 vs. Miguel Marriaga +434
Record: JJono Carroll 23-2-1 / Miguel Marriaga 30-6-0
When: Saturday, March 18, 2023 at4:30 pm ET
Where: Agenda Arena, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

30-6 with 24 knockout or technical knockout wins, at first glance it looks as if Miguel Marriaga has a better shot in this than the odds indicate. But a closer look reveals that Marriaga is in some trouble.

The underdog in this contest shows a single victory and 3 losses in their last 4. Marriaga has dropped his last 2, versus Eduardo Ramirez and Michael Conlan, via unanimous decision.

Jono Carroll is 23-2-1. Carroll’s last loss happened in a bout against Maxi Hughes in 2020. Hughes should make it 6 straight on Saturday. Jono could win this via KO. So consider backing Carroll via a knockout prop.

Boxing Pick: Jono Carroll | Bet Jono Carroll vs. Miguel Marriaga Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Jarrell Miller vs. Lucas Browne

Boxing Odds: Jarrell Miller -714 vs. Lucas Browne +401
Record: Jarrell Miller 25-0-1 / Lucas Browne 31-3-1
When: Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 5:00 pm ET
Where: Agenda Arena, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

In his last, Lucas Brown beat Junior Fa in the first round of a scheduled 10-round fight via technical knockout. In the bout right before facing Fa, Browne knocked out Faiga Opelu in the seventh round.

Favorite Jarrell Miller is 25-0-1. Miller’s lone blemish, a draw, happened back in 2013. Since the draw, Jarrell has won 21 straight.

For sure Jarrell should be the chalk in this. Browne, though, is the toughest opponent Miller has fought in a while. Backing the dog makes sense.

Boxing Pick: Lucas Browne | Bet Jarrell Miller vs. Lucas Browne Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Oscar Duarte vs. Alex Martin

Boxing Odds: Oscar Duarte -285 vs. Alex Martin +193
Record: Oscar Duarte 24-1-1 / Alex Martin 18-4-1
When: Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 5:00 pm ET
Where: Walter Pyramid, Long Beach, California, USA – DAZN

Alex Martin has a decent 18-4 record. Martin has won 5-of-6. The loss in the last six came in a March 2022 bout versus then 21-0 Michael McKinson.

Martin has the tools to hang with Duarte for a few rounds but Oscar figures to take charge after the third. Oscar is 24-1-1 with 19 stoppage wins.

Duarte’s loss happened via split-decision against Adrian Estrella in 2019. Because Martin has suffered zero knockout or technical knockout losses, back Duarte on the money line, or if you want more value, back Oscar to win this via decision.

Boxing Pick: Oscar Duarte | Bet Oscar Duarte vs. Alex Martin Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Mercito Gesta vs. Joseph Diaz Jr.

Boxing Odds: Mercito Gesta +465 vs. Joseph Diaz Jr. -909
Record: Mercito Gesta 33-3-3, 17 KOs / Joseph Diaz Jr. 32-3-1, 15 KOs
When: Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 9:00 pm ET
Where: Walter Pyramid, Long Beach, California, USA – DAZN

The odds imply Joseph Diaz easily handles Mercito Gesta. However, that may not be the case.

Gesta has a decent 33-3-3 record. Mercito has won 17 of his bouts before the final round. Also, Gesta heads into this off a victory, a 10-round unanimous decision win against Joel Diaz Jr.

Joseph Diaz Jr. is 32-3-1. Devin Haney beat Diaz Jr. two bouts ago and then in his last, Joseph lost to William Zepeda Segura.

Based on competition, Diaz Jr. wins this. But losing 2 straight can work on a boxer’s mind. Gesta is worth backing to pull off the upset win.

Boxing Pick: Mercito Gesta | Bet Mercito Gesta vs. Joseph Diaz Jr. Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Gilberto Ramirez vs. Gabriel Rosado

Boxing Odds: Gilberto Ramirez Over 7.5 -117 vs. Gabriel Rosado Under 7.5 -117
Record: Gilberto Ramirez 44-1, 30 KOs / Gabriel Rosado 26-16-1, 15 KOs
When: Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Walter Pyramid, Long Beach, California, USA – DAZN

At one time, Rosado could hang with a boxer like Gilberto Ramirez. That’s no longer the case.

Rosado has lost 4-of-5. All 4 losses were via decision.

However, Ramirez has more power than, maybe, any fighter Gabriel has fought. Also, this could be Rosado’s swan song. Ramirez gets the knockout win before the seventh ends. Under is the play.

TV: Fox Sports 1 / Fox Deportes
Live Stream: Fox Sports Go

Middleweights – 8 Rounds

Jonathan Esquivel / Dormedes Potes

25-year-old Esquivel is 13-0 with 12 knockouts. Dormedes Potes is 12-2-1. Potes is a tough fighter. But he has a draw and a loss in 2-of-3. Esquivel should make quick work of Potes. Expect a knockout before Round 8.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jonathan Esquivel

Welterweights – 10 Rounds

Eimantas Stanionis / Justin DeLoach

Justin DeLoach has lost 3 of his last 4 fights. He fought Terrell Williams hard in his last bout, though, falling via split decision. Eimantas Stanionis is 10-0. Although Stanionis gives up height in this, DeLoach isn’t in good enough form to beat him. Back Eimantas.

Boxing Betting Pick: Eimantas Stanionis

Middleweights – 10 Rounds

James Kirkland / Marcos Hernandez

Kirkland-Hernandez is the main event on Fox Sports 1’s Saturday card. Kirkland’s last loss was via KO to Canelo Alvarez back in 2015. He’s gone 2-0 since then. Hernandez has lost 2-of-3. Although Kirkland is 9 years older, Marcos might want to find a new profession after this fight. Hernandez doesn’t have enough power to hang with Kirkland.

Boxing Betting Pick: James Kirkland

Where: New York, NY
TV: ESPN / ESPN Deportes
Live Stream: ESPN+

Junior Welterweights – 8 Rounds

John Bauza / Romain Tomas

13-0 with 5 knockouts, the 21-year-old Bauza figures to move up the rankings after he puts a beating onto Romain Tomas. The French fighter is 8-3 with only a single KO win. Bauza rocks him.

Boxing Betting Pick: John Bauza

Featherweights – 10 Rounds

Jessie Magdaleno / Sakaria Lukas

Magdaleno has done nothing wrong. The 28-year-old’s lone loss happened versus Isaac Dogboe back in 2018. He’s got a strong 27-1 record with 18 knockouts. Sakaria Lukas is undefeated with a 23-0 record. Let’s not fool ourselves. Lukas has fought exclusively in his home nation of Namibia. Magdaleno takes this.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jessie Magdaleno

WBO Featherweight Title – 12 Rounds

Shakur Stevenson / Miguel Marriaga

Champ Shakur Stevenson has mowed through his 13 opponents. The 22-year-old ranks as one of the top fighters on the planet. Shakur faces a tough customer in Miguel Marriaga on Saturday, though. Marriaga has won 4 in a row. But the featherweight titleholder has skills for days. Shakur can adjust to any style. So, no matter what Marriaga attempts, Stevenson will have an answer. Again, Shakur impresses.

Boxing Betting Pick: Shakur Stevenson

Let’s get started in Asia with the top boxing betting picks for the week.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – March 25th

Wanheng Menayothin vs. Tatsuya Fukuhara, rematch, 12 rounds, for Menayothin’s WBC strawweight title

When: Friday, March 29 2019
Where: Chonburi, Thailand

Wanheng Menayothin (52-0, 18 KOs) and Tatsuya Fukuhara (21-6-6, 7 KO’s) will meet on Friday when the undefeated 33-year-old WBC 105-pound world champion battles the 29-year-old challenger for the second time after recording a dominant unanimous decision win back in November of 2017. Menayothin of Northeastern Thailand, stands 5’2” and makes the 11th defense against the No. 6 WBC challenger from Japan and he’s the big favorite, seeing as how he’s never been beaten and has already beaten the challenger once before.

Prediction

Wanheng Menayothin has absolutely no holes in his fight game and I mean…none whatsoever. Having said that, I’m going to say that there is absolutely no way that the reigning champ manages to get upset in this affair. I’m thinking another unanimous decision is in order for this rematch, seeing as how the champ just doesn’t have a whole bunch of knockout power.

Boxing Betting Pick: Wanheng Menayothin Via Unanimous Decision

Oleksandr Gvozdyk vs. Doudou Ngumbu, 12 rounds, for Gvozdyk’s WBC light heavyweight title

When: Saturday, March 30
Where: Philadelphia, PA

Light heavyweight world titlist Oleksandr Gvozdyk (16-0, 13 KOs) will defend his belt March 30 against Doudou Ngumbu on ESPN. Gvozdyk is 31-years-old and hails from the Ukraine. He stands 6’2” with a 85-inch reach. The champ comes into this bout off a stunning 11th round knockout of Adonis Stevenson in December that was his second stoppage win in his last three fights.

Doudou Ngumbu (38-8, 14 KOs) is 37-years-old and hails from the D.R of Congo. He stands 5’11” and comes into this bout off a majority decision win over Yoann Kongolo in May after suffering a unanimous decision loss against Igor Mihalkin in his previous fight in December of 2017.

Prediction

While Doudou Ngumbu has the big edge in experience in this matchup, that’s about the only advantage that he has in this pairing. Oleksandr Gvozdyk is the younger, more athletic and definitely stronger fighter in this pairing and I’m going to pick him to get the unanimous decision win, seeing as how each of Ngumbu’s last four defeats have all come by way of a decision finish. Keep it simple and back the favored champion here!

Boxing Betting Pick: Oleksandr Gvozdyk

Angel Acosta vs. Ganigan Lopez, 12 rounds, for Acosta’s WBO junior flyweight title

When: Saturday, march 30
Where: Indio, CA

Angel Acosta (20-1 19 KOs) is 28-years-old and hails from Puerto Rico. He stands 5’4” with a 64-inch reach. Acosta has won three straight bouts including his title win over Juan Alejo in December 2017 and a pair of title defenses, most recently, a stunning second round KO over Abraham Rodriguez in October.

Ganigan Lopez (35-8, 19 Kos) is 37-years-old and hails from Mexico. He stands 5’4½” with a 65-inch reach. Ganigan has lost two of his last three fights and comes into this bout off a humbling second round KO loss against Ken Shiro in May, following a seventh round KO win in his previous fight and majority decision loss against Shiro just prior to that.

Prediction

This fight shouldn’t even be close MYBookie boxing bettors. Angel Acosta is by far, the superior, stronger and younger fighter in this bout. Acosta has some serious one-punch knockout power while Ganigan Lopez is fading faster than a pair of well-worn blue jeans. Acosta will make a successful defense in this one and it comes by way of a vicious knockout.

Boxing Betting Pick: Angel Acosta Via Third Round KO

Previous Betting News

If you’re a boxing betting enthusiast that is looking for value this coming week, then you really don’t have to far to look. I’ve got a trio of expert picks on three matchups this coming weekend that is all offering absolutely stunning value, so let’s check the latest boxing odds while making some predictions.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – March 19th

Luis Gonzalez vs. Rene Alvarado

When: Friday, March 23
Where: Managua, Nicaragua
Division: Super Featherweight
Rounds: 8
Boxing Betting Odds: Gonzalez +2800 / Alvarado -7000

29-year-old Rene Alvarado (28-8) stand s5’7” with a 72-inch. The Nicaraguan has won four straight fights and comes into this bout off a split decision win over Denis Shafikov at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas in December. He’s recorded 53 percent of his career wins via KO (19).

Mexican boxer Luis Gonzalez (23-11-1) has lost two straight bouts and comes into this affair off a unanimous decision defeat against Alejandro Zuniga at Arena Pavilion del Norte in Saltillo, Mexico in February.

This pick is super easy which is why Rene Alvarado is an insane -7000 pick to win. Alvarado is probably boxing at his best level ever while Luis Gonzalez has looked mostly awful in dropping two straight – and three of his last four fights. Alvarado will win via unanimous decision.

Pick: Rene Alvarado via UD

Eliud De Los Santos vs. Felix Alvarado

When: Friday, March 23
Where: Managua, Nicaragua
Division: Flyweight
Rounds: 8
Boxing Betting Odds: De Los Santos +2800 / Alvarado -7000

29-year Nicaraguan Felix Alvarado (31-2) stands just 5’4” with a 68.5-inch reach, but he’s won a whopping 13 straight fights heading into his Friday night matchup including seven straight by KO or TKO. Alvarado beat Sebastian Sanchez to a pulp in his TKO win in January.

Eliud De Los Santos (16-5) has lost two straight bouts including a unanimous decision defeat against Gabriel Ramirez Anaya at Arena El Jefe in Monterrey in his last fight in may of 2016. He’s been out of the ring for nearly two years and has absolutely no shot of beating the gifted Felix Alvarado in this bout. There’s a reason Alvarado is such a huge favorite.

Pick: Felix Alvarado via Third Round KO

Lucas Browne vs. Dillian Whyte

When: Saturday, March 24
Where: London, England
Division: Heavyweight
Rounds: 12
Boxing Betting Odds: Browne +315 / Whyte -380

38-year-old Lucas ‘Big Daddy’ Browne (25-0) stands 6’5” with a 77-inch reach. The Australia native is undefeated in 25 bouts and comes into his Saturday matchup off a KO win over Matthew Greer in his last fight, although that was way back in June of 2016.

Jamaican-born Dillian ‘The Body Snatcher’ Whyte (22-1) is 28-years old and stands 6’4” with a 78-inch reach. He’s won six straight fights since suffering his only career loss and comes into this bout off a unanimous decision win over Robert Helenius at Principality Stadium in Cardiff in October.

For this bout, I’m going to urge you to keep it simple and back Dillian Whyte simply because he’s facing a guy that hasn’t fought in almost a year and a half! Lucas Browne is good, but the layoff, combined with the fact that he’s facing an elite fighter, should spell doom for him in this one!

Pick: Dillian Whyte via UD
