Top Stakes Races for the Week

  • When: Friday, August 6 – Sunday, August 8

Saratoga Race Course – Friday, August 6

  • Grade 2 National of Racing Museum Hall of Fame – 1 mile turf – $200,000

At least eight horses will run in the National of Racing Museum Hall of Fame. Trainer Chad Brown should saddle the favorite, Public Sector. Mark Casse trained Easy Time won a Grade 3 in the colt’s last.

Del Mar Racetrack – Friday, August 6

  • Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes – 6 furlongs dirt – $200,000

Bob Baffert will enter last out maiden winner Eda. Doug O’Neil should saddle a couple in here, She’s So Shiny and It’s Simple.

Saratoga Race Course – Saturday, August 7

  • Grade 2 Glen Falls Stakes – 1 ½ miles turf – $250,000

The Glenn Falls projects as one of this weekend’s most competitive graded races. Cristophe Clement trained Call Me Love and a couple of Chad Brown runners, Orglandes and My Sister Nat, could end up vying for favoritism.

  • Grade 1 Longines Test Stakes – 7 furlongs dirt – $500,000

At least 10 will run in the Grade 1 Test Stakes. Search Results, trained by Chad Brown, figures to go off the chalk. Baffert will have a runner in Illumination while Todd Pletcher should enter Zaajel.

  • Grade 1 Whitney Stakes – 1 1/8 miles dirt – $1,000,000

Six of the top horses in the country will contest the 1 1/8 miles Whitney. Happy Saver, Swiss Skydiver, Maxfield, Knicks Go, By My Standards, and Silver State can all win. Steve Asmussen’s Silver State has won 5 straight but could go off an overlay because of how deep the Whitney field will be.

  • Grade 1 Saratoga Derby Invitational – 1 3/16 miles turf – $1,000,000

It’s not often 3-year-old males can run on the turf for a 1 million purse, which explains why connections for 13 horses are pointing to the Saratoga Derby Invitational. Aidan O’Brien trained Bolshoi Ballet won the Belmont Derby in his last and figures to go off the chalk.

Del Mar Racetrack – Saturday, August 7

  • Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap – 1 1/16 miles turf – $200,000

Only 4 runners are confirmed for the Yellow Ribbon. The good news? All four, Maxim Rate, Princess Grace, Dogtag, and Ippodamia’s Girl, have a shot.

  • Grade 2 Best Pal Stakes – 6 furlongs dirt – $200,000

Papacap, Our Empire, Olympic Legend, Charter Oak, and Big City Lights will contest the 6 furlongs in the $200,000 Best Pal Stakes. The closer we get to race day, the more horses should join, including one or two from the Bob Baffert barn.

Saratoga Race Course – Sunday, August 8

  • Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes – 6 ½ furlongs dirt – $200,000

Although she’s won just her maiden, Tom Amoss trained Microbiome figures to battle for favoritism in the Adirondack Stakes. Microbiome looked sensational in her first race. Boss Lady Kim, Mainstay, J L’s Rockette, Onetheonesandtwos, and Steve Asmussen charge Wicked Halo should also run.

  • Grade 3 Saratoga Invitational Oaks – 1 3/16 miles turf – $700,000

9 horses will run in the Saratoga Invitational Oaks. Todd Pletcher’s Con Lima, Higher Truth from the Chad Brown barn, and Plum Ali, going for Cristophe Clement, will vie for favoritism.

Del Mar Racetrack – Sunday, August 8

  • Grade 3 La Jolla Stakes – 1 1/16 miles turf – $150,000

Trainer John Saddler plans on putting the saddle on three runners, including Santa Anita Derby winner Rock Your World. Other contenders include Wyfire from the Peter Miller barn, and No Foolery Here trained by Richard Baltas.

MyBookie’s software and lines are in line with other books, but they really stand out with the promotions. They are more frequent and offer better deals than their competitors. I’ll never go back to another book.

I have had a great experience with this site. Deposit and payout methods are fairly easy. Betting is pretty self explanatory as well. Anytime I’ve had any issues (and I’ve had a few due ti my own ignorance at times) customer service has been wonderful and extremely helpful.

Making picks is easy and intuitive. The website allows for easy withdrawals and payouts which process very quickly. I very much enjoy using this site over anything else.
