The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, sporting teal, bronze, and black, challenge opponents in the Sun Belt Conference with their tenacious playing style, aiming to add to their four NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently in 2015.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers have fierce rivalries both in-conference and in-state rivals and each with their own unique dynamic within the basketball world.

Within South Carolina, the Chanticleers share rivalries with several schools, including Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, and Winthrop. These rivalries are fueled by geographic proximity and a desire for in-state bragging rights.

Within the Sun Belt Conference (SBC), Coastal Carolina’s fiercest competition comes from conference foes. The Appalachian State Mountaineers rivalry has intensified since both schools transitioned to FBS football.

Another heated rivalry with Georgia Southern Eagles, particularly in football, due to the close proximity of the schools and their competitive history.
