It’s a bit of a coin flip on Tuesday night, as both games on the schedule are interesting in their own right. We are going to bypass the champions for now to focus on this game, which has a pair of championship hopefuls going head-to-head to start the season. Both teams made it to the playoffs in 2022, with both finishing in the top 6 in the Western Conference. The bookies have both the Suns and Warriors high up on the favorites board for the championship this season, so this is definitely one to watch.

Boston Celtics at New York Knicks

While we have yet to see a game played in the new season, everyone has an idea of who they think will win it all in 2023. A lot of those people will almost certainly be looking at the Boston Celtics as a legitimate contender. They finished 2nd overall in the Eastern Conference last season and are expected to challenge again, but they have a tricky opening game, going on the road to face a Knicks team that surprised a lot of people last year. Given the moves that the Bucks have made in the offseason, it is perhaps no real surprise that they are starting the season as the favorites in the eyes of the bookies. This team is totally stacked, but that is not always a guarantee of success. Still, I have a feeling that they are going to be fun to watch, as will this game, with the 76ers coming into this season as a bit of a dark horse pick. You can’t really tell a lot from just one game, but this one might set the early tone in the East.

I might well be on my own here, but this is a matchup that I find to be intriguing. Both of these teams made it into the play-in tournament last season, with both making it into the first round proper before making an early exit.
