The New York Giants fell to 2-6 on the season after a disappointing 31-26 loss to the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday. Detroit enjoyed the much-needed win after losing three straight games and trading away safety and captain Quandre Diggs to Seattle days before the game.

Detroit will be hitting the road in Week 9 when they visit the Raiders at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, meanwhile the Giants will receive the Cowboys at home.
